Ube Purple Yam Flavoring Paste Extract by Butterfly 2 Ounce with Mini Refrigerator Magnet

This is flavoring. Think of the recipe difference between vanilla extract vs. vanilla flavoring. I’d say same. It can be overwhelming. It will stain things purple. I knew this and that’s why I bought it. Even in recipes that ask for this product specifically, I can usually substitute just half with perfect results. Most folks are unnecessarily heavy handed with this. Also consider how many other Ube products you’re adding. Some online recipes ask for this and powder and jam and condensed milk and again, all the extra is unnecessary. I’m not the best at substitutions in these type of recipes as some folks use the others to completely change the consistency.This gives everything a nice purple color if you use the appropriate amount. Pour too much and it starts getting scary. There aren’t a ton of options in this market. I wish there was something more natural or subtle but that’s what why we got so use it wisely.

Best ingredients on the product.

I live in a place where accessing UBE flavored treats are non-existent. When my daughter asked for an UBE cake, I saw this and it was perfect. we had ube cake! And now I can put it in anything to give it an UBE flavor. Delicious!

Strong flavor and color, don't know if it's authentic but tastes good. Ingredients are artificial. I also did not get the magnet 😔

I love it. I knew it would be great when I first opened it and smelled it lol. It’s rich in flavor and color ! I got it to make ube pudding topped on Oreo cookie cups. 10/10 definitely recommend

Taste really good but just wish the toxic food coloring wasn’t in it.

If you are buying the product because of dietary needs be careful. One of the product images shows the nutritional information and I purchased it based on that. When it arrived, the nutritional information on the outer box matched the image. However, when I opened it I found the bottle of extract also had nutritional information and it was dramatically different. I can't tell which, if either, is correct and will be throwing it out.

This is a great ube flavoring but just be clean and cautious because it is also a strong purple food dye. Got a little on my fingers opening the bottle and was purple for the next day and a half. I worry it would do to a porous countertop.
