Consistency
I own three of these reels, and they are by far the best bait, casting reel on the market for the money.Smooth, casting and easy to adjust in the field with the brake on the side

Good quality
I've already fishing with it several times, just good cooments about it, really good feeling when holding it, superb casting distance, breaks are really easy to setup, really smooth reel. Get the XT version, worth it.Now is my main trout fishing reel. 10/10

Like a Cadillac!
My son got this for his birthday, his first "real" reel (see what I did there?). He's an avid largemouth fisherman, and was really pleased with this unit. He says his casts are much farther, and the reeling in is smooth and fast. Not only that, it's an awesome looking reel. Not sure he'll catch more fish, but he's enjoying the process more! Now to get one for myself!

Exceptional value!
This reel is really tough to beat for the money. Smooth, long casts with no backlash issues, even against strong winds. It's light and easy to palm. Love it so far!

Build ok
The reel itself is very nice, the only issue I have with it is the drag dial. The dial is half covered with the body of the reel. So that makes it hard to use the dial with big fingers. The dial itself is hard to turn to the desired position.

The reel was great once it got here. I do not like the fact that I received 3 different delivery dates with no explanation as to what the issue was. As a result it was late for a Christmas present

Really disappointed
Not even the right reel advertised. This is NOT the SLX XT, this is just the SLX. Also the specs say it is a left handed reel, but that's also a lie because it's a right hand. Don't know what's so hard about listing it properly, real bummer we can't just get what we pay for
