the book is very scanty. Not what I expected

1. The book gives no grammatical explanations.2. It doesn't contain a lot of words. Most of the words you can probably find using online resources.3. No tonal marks (even though written Edo doesn't use tones in its written language, it would've been useful for a beginner).And lastly: This book is not a guide. It contains very, very basic words and sentences. It's basically an extremely short dictionary.Sadly, there aren't that many alternatives to this book. There's a severe lack of quality Edo Learning books that aren't overpriced or unavailable. Would I buy this book again? Considering the price, yes. Is it a good book to learn Edo with? I wouldn't say so, but it's decent in the sense that you can bring it with you wherever and whenever.

This is not a beginners guide, at best it is a vocabulary book. It gives no guidance to the correct pronunciation of words, sentence structure or even culture. It is simply a list of common words, some numbers and the alphabet. I kid you not that is as far as the book goes.

This is a good book. I was able to teach my kids Edo language because of this book. I recommend it.

I bought for my daughter to learn Edo language she loved it and is simple to understand.

Natürlich war mir bewusst, dass man von einem Büchlein für 6€ nicht viel erwarten sollte. Doch dieses Buch ist wirklich enttäuschend.Erstmal steht im Vorwort, dass eine CD enthalten ist - ist sie aber nicht.Die Vokabeln sind in den Kategorien nicht logisch geordnet (yes ist zum Beispiel in "Directive Phrases" und no in "Common Words" eingeordnet). Und innerhalb der Kategorien nicht einmal alphabetisch angeordnet, was die Suche erheblich erleichtern würde.2 Seiten sind religiösen Vokabeln gewidmet (Amen, Pastor, I believe in God etc), aber für Sätze wie "I love you" oder andere Gefühlsäußerungen hat der Platz wohl nicht gereicht.Die Vokabeln, die hier enthalten sind, kann man so auch umsonst im Internet finden. Fehlkauf!
