I'm trying to control my cholesterol and triglycerides without dangerous statin medications that so many doctors are pushing on people now days. After asking my doctor about using nicotinic acid (a form of niacin supplement) he agreed to have me try this method for this purpose. There are many claims that it will work if using the right amount of niacin at the right times of the day. Hoping this will give me the results I need! So far easy to use and it seems to be working well after a couple of weeks.

I take 750mg to 1000mg for the migraine. It works, if I take it right away, when feeling in the head start, before pain or nausea. because of that I have t carry some with me at all times. Sometimes I have to repeat the dose, but usually one is enough. Niacin is also a very strong detox facilitator, so taking at least the same amount of vit C is helpful. Be ready for a good flush, and take it easy while it moves through. On empty stomach flush comes on in a few minutes, on full stomach -it might not start until 30-40 minutes or even longer. It is unpleasant, but goes away within an hour or so. Hive looking skin splotches also go away within that time. I write all this as when I took it first time I din't know all this, and ended up taking 1.5 g (500mg every 20 minutes or so) as I thought it didn't work for me since I didn't flush. It was a memorable experience once I started flushing with heart palpitations and such, though migraine did go away. My advice -better to start with a smaller amount, maybe not during migraine attack first to get familiar.Taste is sour as it is acid. Best to have mg scale 0.001g. But I just use 1/8 of the teaspoon as 750mg measure, which is aproximate, but it is okay.

Update after over one year of purchase:Still as good as when it arrived ,just took it a few minutes ago. Mutated immediately to a fresh painted glowing red fire hydrant again.:-))This stuff still works like a rocket! Highly recommended!Store in closed brown glass in a dark place and it will stay fresh.Did some research and found that there a many products called Niacin.BUT! After reading the amazing books of Dr.Probst I found out that there are at least two versions with that name.Whats most important to know that there is nicotinic acid (this stuff) but also nicotinamide. The second one useless but sold in most pharmacies! So go for this one. Don't be afraid of the flush; it is a sign that you bought the right stuff!Highly recommended!

Great product. This is what you need, pure, and not flush free. Taken on a daily basis, the flushing will reduce. Start with 1/8 teaspoon in 500 ml water bottle, cap it and shake. Drink half and save remainder for later in the day. When you feel the flushing is not as pronounced, you can mix the 1/8 teaspoon in 250 ml water for a single dose.It will taste a little tart.

I bought this supplement to help lower my cholesterol and improve circulation. I don't feel any instant rush as some have described but I do feel some changes and I think it helps with feeling warm thus improving body circulation. The product has some clumps and taste very bitter but I am ok with that. I don't think Niacin tastes good and I don't like to buy products with artificial sweeter. Overall I think it is a great value for what you get and the product was delivered faster than promised.
