Worth a $20 gamble
Tested on a surface plate with a last word indicater and a standard.Found that it tests out to be good for .001 or less.After reading other review seems I got a good one..luck of the draw.Worth $20 gamble

Solid and well constructed.
Used these to true up a Polaris small engine crankshaft journel/connecting rod assembly. Worked very well. Solid and well constructed.

Good budget V-Blocks
Inexpensive V blocks. The blocks arrived OK, but required full de-burring of all edges. Note the blocks are not hardened. Also, I first indicated the flat tops and sides. They are only square to the bottom surface by about .010", pretty darn far out. I was very disappointed, but then I remembered that these are V blocks and not 1-2-3 blocks. So I put a precision round bar in the block and indicated it it. It was under .001" straight and square to the surface plate. So they passed the V-block test. OK for the money.

Great size for rotary engine e-shaft runout testing
Price was good for these. Used for testing the eccentric shaft runout for my Mazda rotary engine rebuild. Perfect size for that purpose.

Excellent quality and value.
I ordered two sets of these V-blocks ( 4 blocks). They are as described. Cast iron and machined flat and smooth on the V top, both sides and bottom. All machine work is very nice. They are painted silver on un-machined rough area. The 2 holes machined in center web are 5/8" diameter. Just wipe off excess shipping oil and they are ready to use.

SIDES NOT GROUND, other issues
If you are not using the sides they are great. Unfortunately the two sets I received they are off 8 thou. I have a set of proper micrometers, not those stupid calipers so that is a real measurement. I was expecting more consistency between sets even if they weren't matched. Total height and v groove depth are different, 8 thou when one anvil is on a ground rod in the V, and one on the bottom.Each matched set is dead on though so if you are creative you can still get away with using two unmatched pairs.
