I bought an old cabinet but I didn't have a key for it so it was difficult opening it without one. This locket fit perfect!

I actually bought this for the key which was lost on an old display cabinet. Buying the entire unit was 1/4 the cost of just the key alone and its working fine. If I ever need the lockset i've now got a spare.

I inherited a curio cabinet, but we were unable to find the key in my grandmother's things. I have since put many of her things, such as tea cups, punch bowl, etc in this cabinet for safe keeping and display. My almost 2 yr old loves looking at the pretty things, and has recently discovered how to pull open the door. I desperately needed to change the lock so I could lock the door and keep her sweet little hands off the delicate items. To my surprise, I didn't have to change the lock, the key from this set fits and works! I'm keeping the mechanism though, just in case.

I have a French/curio cabinet that had a broken lock. This was the perfect fit to replace it. However, other reviews mentioned the tiny screws that broke while installing, and this happened to me. I was very careful when I installed it since I had a feeling they would break easily. I had to go to the local hardware store to find replacement screws (1/2" - 3/4") that were cheap and did the trick. I knocked it down one start because of the crappy screws!

I can't attest to the quality of the lock but buying it was a low cost way to get a replacement key for the visually identical lock on our curio cabinet. The business end of the original key broke off in the lock trapping family "treasures" inside the cabinet. The key provided with this new lock appears to be better quality than the key that came with the cabinet. The new key appears to be cast metal while the old key appeared to be soldered together.

I ordered because I had no keys. The keys fit my existing locks perfectly. So happy.

I'm sure they are great little locks, but LITTLE is the key word. The description for this product said 2x2x2 inches, but that is NOT what the dimentions are. I needed a specific size to replace a broken antique lock, and that would have been the size, so I payed the extra money. What I got were cheap, small locks, the same size and quality that I got from another seller (for a fraction of what I payed for these) . When I went to return the locks, I found out that you are responsible for paying to ship them back, and they keep 20% of what you originally paid, as a restocking fee. Bad business in my opinion. Fit perfectly to replace a customer’s curio glass gun cabinet. All locks were keyed the same. Has multiple mounting holes for various fittings and has two rotation options for vertical or horizontal installation.
