Saved me from hours in line at US airport Christmas 2022 (during mass US flight cancellations)
It is worth it! Saved me from waiting 10-hours in line during the US airline flight cancellation catastrophe of Holiday Season 2022. I purchased the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2021, and tracked it with my Samsung Galaxy S10 phone. Purchased this SmartTag just before the holiday travel 2022 to secure inside my ski bag. Thought that I was being paranoid, but clearly, this saved my time after all.The WHAT:The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2021 accurately informed me of the location of my ski bag that was separated from my flight during my layover. With the SmartTag, I could see that my ski bag was eventually sent to my home airport which was 463 miles (745km) from a different airport where I was stranded (during the cancellations of US 2,600+ flights during the Holiday Season 2022).SO WHAT?Instead of waiting in a 10-hour line for people to locate their luggage, I was able to know exactly where my precious ski gear was, take a nap, eat, and make preparations for my new way home while others waited in the 10-hour line to identify the location of their bags. The SmartTag enabled me to optimize my time, and be more efficient with my planning because it reduced the uncertainty of my ski bag's location. I was able to leave the airport, find a hotel for the night, and make bus-train arrangements for the next morning.Even if my ski bag was at a completely different airport, I would have been able to know which airport by looking at the map in the app OR internet searching the tag location's address (then, go to the closest airport at night (for a much shorter line) to file the luggage claim to have the ski bag sent to me).NOW WHAT?After this positive experience with the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag, I am definitely purchasing another to add to other checked luggage during future flights. It is a simple tool with a simple interface and simple sounds -- yet, it did the job. Other tags have additional features, but this SmartTag was able to be tracked along the US West Coast (463 miles / ~745km) -- and worked in the most hectic of situations. I highly recommend it.

Should've bought one of these loooong ago...
Maybe if I would've had one of these when I lost my wallet last year I'd still have that wallet.I'm blown away how easy it was to connect to my phone using Smart Things. The functionality of it is pretty cool too. I can use the tracker itself to help find my phone when I lose it 3 times a day.Press the button on the tracker makes my phone ring so is super easy to find. When you lose the tracker it pops up a map giving you the general location. Then you can switch modes to search nearby and it brings up a strength meter for how close or far away the tracker is.I will be buying a few more to put in/on different things.I love this little thing. Tech is amazing these days....EDIT a couple weeks later....I can't register this thing to my Samsung account. It tells me the serial number is incorrect yet I typed it exactly and tried different iterations of this. I highly highly suspect I was sent a used item listed as new and the battery being halfway drained is another proof of that claim.I'm in the process of speaking with Samsung about this problem and am waiting on them to get back to me but it looks like I can't register this already used product and add it to my Samsung Care account so no warranty for me I guess huh.I'm about to return this if Samsung tells me it's already been registered to another account or anything of the like. When I buy something listed as brand new I want it to be brand new.Brand new does not mean it's been opened and registered to someone's account then returned. Then to make me think it's used even more.....they put their stores inventory label right over the factory sticker with all the numbers and stuff so I couldn't get to it without it getting ripped off and mangled.Who does that?Don't label over all of the inform about the product like it's serial and model numbers.I'm not happy. We'll see what Samsung says.

Works well, but only for general location
This device and the associated phone app are a reliable way to track luggage across airports, or to tag a vehicle or bicycle or other item in case of theft. However, the location accuracy isn't great. The map marker may show in a different house or building than you're actually in. For that reason it wouldn't be a good way to tag keys in case you lose them around the house.

A handy bluetooth tracker that works
Samsung's take on Bluetooth tags is great, has a strong signal, good battery life, and a massive community network of over 70 million devices that could potentially ping its signal back to you if it were ever lost.Setup is easy just download and launch Samsung "SmartThings," press the button on your tracker once and follow the prompts on your phone, when its done you can easily modify some basic settings like name, ringtone & volume level, and main location. Then stick it onto anything you wanna track, I put one on a generator and tools I own and it works well enough. Mind you this isn't GPS levels of accuracy because the device doesn't have its own data plan, but that's what makes it cost-effective. It does make a fairly accurate tracking log though when you go through it, pinging any Samsung device that's on the network along the way.It can give you a good idea of where it is down to a 500ft radius and then from there you can hone in on it using the track nearby feature which gives you a hot/cold interface to let you know whether your getting closer when in close range.Overall I like this device, it's a cheap, reliable enough way to track things, just don't use it to track high value things like your truck or child, or really expensive tool cause it won't be consistent enough to be useful. But for car keys or your bag? It's pretty good.

Love these on keyrings
Great features, battery life, size, accurate GPS location. Loud enough to find with audio alert. Great value for the money.
