Garlic...yeah baybee!!
This “sauce”, if you want to call it that, is pretty freaking good. I’d be more inclined to call it a salsa, and for that matter a chunky one at that. Full of nice chunky garlic. I mean there ain’t nothing skimpy about the garlic. Tastes fresh. Gilroys best, guaranteed. However... You’ll read the reviews on this sauce, if you’re so inclined. Probably 70% of the people are raising cane over the salt content. BELIEVE THEM. I was raised in North Africa. I consume a LOT of salt. A bunch. To the point no one eats off my plate due to salt. This is borderline to salty for me. Yeah I know. I can’t believe it either. Don’t let the saltiness deter you, it’s really that tasty. I tell you how to fix this where it’s palatable with tortilla chips.2 cups Pace medium or hot salsa1 cup Pepper Plant garlic1/4 cup ZingZang Bloody Mary mix1 whole Habanero seeds includedThis WILL light your rear end up but it freaking rocks on everything, and kills the saltiness of the garlic sauce while enhancing the Pace. If you don’t like it that hot cut back on the Habanero. Otherwise, use it as a marinade. It’s truthfully good stuff and bet your hienie I’ll be buying more, but I cook. A lot. All the time and there IS a place for this in my kitchen permanently.Believe it’s salty!!

Taste of Home
Grew up in the Central Coast area of California and have loved this stuff since childhood! I've lived outside of California for about 15 years now and so I would stock up every time we went to visit my parents. I just now discovered it was available on amazon and we just recieved our fisrst 1/2 gallon. So much more convenient! And as to the sauce it is amazing. Some say too much salt - I've had it for so long so I love it. I've also had the non Chunky Garlic style and to me it is not nearly as good as this flavor. Good on eggs, steak, nachos, the list goes on. There are very few things I have found that this stuff does not taste good on. Such a versitle hot sauce and the best part is it's not so hot you can't taste anything else. It has a perfect balance ofof heat and flavor. So glad I found this on Amazon!

Way too salty.
Bought this based on the good reviews disregarding the reviews of it being too salty knowing that some people are salt sensitive. I am not and this is too salty to eat. I tasted it out of the bottle, shaken very well, and wow it almost knocked me down with it's saltiness. I said ok I'll cook wings with it omitting all salt in the recipe and using unsalted butter but it is still overpoweringly salty. Guess I'll just chalk it up to lesson learned not to totally ignore negative reviews even if they are in the minority. Maybe a bad batch or something.

One of the best, most versatile hot sauces I've found
This is a great hot sauce that is, if anything, more versatile than sriracha. Who'da thunk it.If I have no salsa, I can use CPP on Mexican foods and they will taste great. If I want to add zing to an Italian-style sauce like spaghetti sauce, I can add some of this without the distracting vinegar taste that Tabasco or Sriracha brings. With Thai, or southern Indian foods, it adds an interesting note that doesn't clash. And on eggs... it is GODLY.As for the heat, it's got a bit of a kick, but it's not overwhelming. Several of my friends are not fans of high-Scoville foods at all, but find the garlic bite very tasty. This isn't the sauce you add if you just want heat; you add it for flavor.(BTW, if you DO want heat AND flavor, the CPP Garlic Sauce plays very nicely if it's mixed with a good habanero-based sauce)

try a small bottle, you'll be sold
I live in socal and a couple of years ago I was visiting the garlic capital and saw a roadside garlic shop,Pepper plant. I came out of the shop with a small bottle of this sauce. After making my way back to socal I quickly went through the tiny bottle. What to do? I really love the sauce but 350 miles to get more wasn't the best way to resupply. Then I found it on my Amazon. I'm working on the 3rd gallon of sauce. This is great stuff, love it on eggs, and salad dressing.

Yes Salty
I think that the reason we taste the salt is because they do not cover up the salty taste with sugar. The ingredient label reads "7 percent salt" which is less than a known brand that rhymes with "Ace Picante Sauce." That particular well known brand that rhymes with Ace Picante Sauce has 11 percent, but they have sugar in it to disguise the saltiness. So, pick your poison as they say. This brand is chunky with garlic. Add a bit of brown sugar I suppose if you cannot get past the saltiness. Its less than most brands who cover it up with sugar.

I've found the holy grail...
Finally! A sauce with decent heat AND amazing flavor.I am one of those people that actually like the flavor of jalapenos... but I HATE the *flavor* of habaneros. I can't tell if it's the fruitiness or bitterness or what - but I genuinely dislike the *flavor* of habaneros. So it's really hard to get a hot sauce with any heat that doesn't contain habanero flavor.Enter this magical formula. The habanero flavor is EXTREMELY mild, but still delivers a good amount of heat. The typical flavor of Pepper Plant sauce that we know and love dominates any habanero-ness. So you basically get a spice version of the original, but with just a super, super mild hint of habanero. And maybe some smokiness.Great addition to any savory dishes.

Holy Flippin' Salt!
Wow, if you love drinking liquid salt, then you are going to love this stuff. I personally love garlic and can't get enough of garlic-infused products. That being said, I was super excited to find a "hot" pepper sauce that was heavy on the garlic as well. First of all, the flavor of this stuff would have been good enough without them adding in heaps of salt. There really isn't much heat either. I didn't think it had much of a spice at all. But that SALT. I can't get over it. My wife and I both like salty things and we couldn't use this stuff on anything. Maybe as a marinade that you wash/cook off afterwords? I'm not sure how to best use this, but using it as a sauce or putting it on things is going to ruin your food. Seriously, lower the sodium by about 90% and I'll buy it again & update my review.
