WOW - What a difference
I installed on 1977 MGB. It too about 30 minutes to install distributor and wire. I took all of the precautions to make location of old distributor when the engine was at TDC for number 1 cylinder. This is the first time that I installed a new distributor and was very concerned. The car started with first crank with no assistance (start fluid) or choke. The timing is a little different and marks are off a little. I did a running timing at idle with vacuum line plugged and it seems very close, seems to accelerate without stumble.The car always had a lumpy idle. That is no longer the case. Can't wait for weather to get warmer so I can take her out for a drive.This seems to be money well spent!
