It still amazes me how storage capabilities have changed so much over the last two decades. This is a very compact card with a huge amount of storage (not even the largest, but plentyful) and a very good read/write speed. It is perfect for smartphones and action cameras due to its size and capabilities. But since it comes with an SD adapter. It will fulfill most of your storage needs. I have found SanDisk is a great brand overall.

I have been using scandisk cards for years in my digital cameras. This card was purchased for my MavicAir drone. It has worked great so far and is fast enough to record 4k video. I only shoot at 2.7k so the 64GB is fine. If you are planning at shooting at 4k definitely get a larger capacity SD card or buy multiples.

I have been waiting years for the technology to reach this point, and it's finally here. I digitized my entire (400+) CD collection as FLAC, stored it all on this tiny little guy, and stuck it in my Motorola Z Force Droid. It did take some time to push all that data onto the card, but now I have all my music available at all times. Simply awesome.Card works perfectly for this use and have had no issues. I have pulled it out of my Droid a few times to push data onto it from my computer's SD card slot without incident. Very pleased :)

So I bought this to upgrade from my iPod Classic, because it wouldn't support hi-res files and I couldn't accept downgrading my collection from lossless to 256 (that player will continue to live in my car).1st impression was how small and light it is, causing me concern about durability (it is about as heavy as a pack of cards) - I'm hoping the case I bought and screen cover make me feel more comfortable with it.2nd impression was the interface - it is OK. Not perfect, but fairly fast. It is certainly full of features, and quite logical, but my gripe is the fragmented 'back' feature vs. the iPod Classic. Essentially you can't travel back through set menus using the back button, it takes you back to the last viewed menu, vs a hierarchy. Having varying options to manage the sound is welcome, it has a good EQ with upsampling options for MP3s and 'environment' controls. It is also nice to be able to search through hi-res audio files as an option. For some reason it doesn't seem to load all of my album artwork, or take the file-naming structure as well as other devices (leaving some blank and with an unknown artist), not sure what to do about that...For some reason the in-line controls on my earbuds don't work, meaning that I have to use the controls on the device. My higher end headphones don't have a line control. It is a minor gripe, but I'll get over it.3rd impression - the sound - OK, so I was relatively happy with the iPod Classic, I knew it was holding back on the sound, but it was much better than using my iPhone (especially with their new lightening connection). I play my music collection through a fairly high-end vinyl system and my digital through a Bluesound processor, all out through a vintage Sansui and Mcintosh speakers - so I didn't expect much of an enlightening experience running my files through this little player (I'm using B&O in-ear and a reference pair of ATH cans), initially I thought it was a little too bright (a consequence of the reclaimed higher end of the files) but in tweeting the EQ (+3, +2, 0, +2, +2, +3) a real fullness appeared, and once again I was blown away by how much detail is lost in playing music through lesser devices. *warning, this will reveal poor files to be fairly unenjoyable, and unwelcomely harsh (play with the DSEE HX option to find your preference).It is an intimate listening experience and I find myself seeking a lower volume than I would usually use - I think this is because it is such a revealing little device that I'm overloaded by the listening experience, but that is a good thing, a very good thing! The background is as 'black' as the file itself, meaning this device doesn't appear to add any noise at all, revealing the inherent hiss in the production process of each file, but if there is none then it is quiet and pleasing.Bass is full, punchy and rounded, vocals and breathy and trailing with intimate detail, pacing appears to be fine (though my listening is lagging as I am hearing things that I haven't heard before, causing me to lose tracking as I listen), high end is sparkly and attention grabbing, sound staging is nicely wide (though it also depends on your headphones).Loading files is fairly easy, I dropped the Sony-installer and just went with dragging and dropping my music directly into the SD card (just make sure you format it in the device before using it). Load times were pretty darn quick, and the cataloging process is also quick. The device comes with 3 hi-res songs already loaded, and though they are not my style they give a very good example of the sound quality of the device.I've not yet filled up the SD card, and I don't know if it will start to stutter as the card gets filled up, but for now it is good, and I'm happy to have dropped the physical drive from the iPod.- So, I'm giving this 4 stars because nothing is perfect, and I'm aware there are better processing units out there (just for a greater price), but value for money this unit is brilliant, and sound wise.I've not tried using it as a DAC or the Bluetooth feature, though I would imagine they are decent.For the price of the device you would be a fool to go with anything else. Sony are well established in the field, and have clearly put effort into producing this player. I'm just disappointed that I didn't get one earlier.

I use these in my drone and camera to take 4K video and have had no problems. I have tried using the none extreme cards and always get an error that the card is to slow. They are also cheaper than the full size extreme cards and work just as well in my Sony A7 III.

I bought 2 of these for use with a GoPro 10 on a recent trip. Used the GP every day, primarily for underwater video, and only used about half of each. They are perfect in playback.
