If you are looking for extra hot Calabrese peppers, It is a great choice.I bought this because I got tired of guests eating a jar or two of the other brands at every meal.Looking for something a lot less expensive, I came across Cento which is known for good quality.It is a hit, last night they could not finish a jar (but they drank all my beer).It is my new go-to item for Neapolitan Pizza.

This is easily one of the best Amazon purchases I’ve ever made. I can’t resist adding this stuff to just about everything! It’s got serious kick and it goes a long way. I’ve had over a dozen meals with this stuff added but it looks like I’ve barely touched the jar. My favorite thing to spice up so far is a breakfast sandwich but it’s so versatile, you really can’t go wrong.

I LOVE hot when cooking/eating. Therefore, I KNOW "hot"! However, Cento Calabrese Pepper Spread would not even be on my top 100 list in terms of amount of heat but instead would make my top 10 list of ultra-flavorful kitchen condiments. Great as an additive to soups, egg dishes and many saute dishes from protein to vegetable and wonderful as a simple spread when added to sandwiches, burgers and hot dogs. The best way to describe the effect this product has on food is a Japanese term: Umami. Plus, when describing how hot this product is, it does indeed add a wonderful, enjoyable but not overbearing "warmth" to whatever you're eating. Cento Calabrese Spread takes softened calabrese peppers cooked in oil, combined with citric acid, a little salt and white wine vinegar, which gives you a condiment your pantry should not be without!

I've been wondering for ages what they put on Italian subs when I ask for "Hots" on my sub. Now I know thanks to "Sam the cooking guy" this is exactly what they use. I'm soo pleased I found this. Want to kick up the hot factor on your subs? This is the way to go but be careful. A little goes a long way. 🤣🌶️🥵

What a treat! I could eat this every day and never tire of it! The label says "extra hot," but these peppers have merely a hint of delicate heat. If a sweet pepper with no heat at all is rated at 0 on the Scoville scale, and Frank's Red Hot sauce is 450, I would guess this would be around 100.Edit: my second jar was noticeably spicier than the first. It is still milder than Frank's, imo.

I was searching for a Jersey Mike’s or Thundercloud’s type spicy red pepper hoagie spread. This has more oil than vinegar and the oil will continue to carry the heat of the peppers on your lips 20 minutes post consumption. I do not recommend this if you are seeking something like Jersey Mike’s. I will have to search for alternative uses, such as cooking with it in a sauce.

These hot peppers are exactly as billed. Very hot, tasty and perfect for either a sandwich or pasta sauce. If you like to "kick it up a notch", try some of these!
