Fantasttic and versatile unit
I cannot speak highly of this product enough. I have used Netgear products, Cisco, and most recently abandoned my Google WiFi setup because it just wasn't working. The app was letting me down.To preface - I moved into a 5th wheel RV, whereby I have a live ethernet line coming into the RV but that's it. I had been trying to set up my Google Wifi both in the main house and as a secondary node within the RV creating a mesh network but the app was giving me so many problems and just wasn't working. Failure to even set up.Enter the Gl.inet. I had done my homework but still wasn't quite sure this would work with my application. I needed something robust that would accept an ethernet cable and be able to create a wifi hotspot within the RV from that same connection. This unit did the trick! Setup was very simple provided you have the basics of networking skills. I was up and running so fast I couldn't even believe it. Both the WAN and the ethernet ports worked to reproduce a reliable and very wide reaching self situated WiFi for my RV. This unit takes all of the guess work out of it.I honestly can't believe that for $100 this thing entirely solved all my problems. I am thoroughly impressed with the speed, capabilities, and ease of setup with this device. In case anyone's wondering, I am work from home 100% so this absolutely had to work for me.It's so good I almost want two for some unexplainable reason!

First Update Firmware
At first I couldn't connect to the internet with Ethernet or USB tethering. Wi-Fi repeater mode did work, though, so connected to a WiFi network and upgraded the firmware, everything then worked. Impressive little router once it's working . I've had no problems so far connecting to hotel wifi with their login pages at IHG, Marriott, and Hilton hotels. I have my T-Mobile hotspot setup through USB tethering as a fail-over connection. I am running a Wireguard VPN connection to my Unifi router back home and have easily gotten over 150 Mb/sec when my Internet source supported that speed. Everything seems very stable. The user interface is simple but has all the settings I need. The power source that comes with it is a USB-C 5V/4A power adapter. I've tried running it off Power Banks and USB-C chargers and a laptop charger and nothing has worked except the adapter that came with it. I configured the switch on the side to turn the wireguard VPN on or off, which makes it easy when I get to a hotel. Switch it off so that I can connect to the hotel portal and login, and once connected switch it on and all the traffic is encrypted and protected.

Ideal for travelers
I really like this device!Pros:The firmware is really good and is built on ddwrt. So this will most likely keep support even if this goes out of business. There are still updates and it's really easy to do.Cons:The only thing which I don't understand is that it came with only an american head/plug for the power adapter. Meaning I will have to buy a European adapter if I want to travel to there.Other thoughts:You can connect to the WiFi network and have forward(repeater) to another WiFi network and VPN at the same time making a WiFi only private network. It works with openvpn and wireguard. I am not sure why, but I had faster speeds on openvpn .It seems to get a little hot, but it's very manageable.

Feature-Packed Travel Router for Power Users
This little device packs a serious punch. I used the Slate AX while traveling and it handled hotel and public Wi-Fi seamlessly—no more re-logging in all my devices every time. Wi-Fi 6 speeds are solid, and it performed well even with multiple devices connected.I am able to WireGuard VPN from this device in my hotel room to my pfSense firewall at home and can access all my devices while I am away. If there is an issue or need to get to a file, I now have access.
