(2-Pack) Replacement for AT&T S30 Remote Control Compatible with U-Verse Uverse Receiver

I should have known that the price was too good to be true. The units look identical to our original dying unit but do not bear the ATT logo and are generic knock-offs. Apparently some people get ones that work and others, like us, get ones that don't ... thus, half the reviews are 5* and half are 1*.The units wouldn't perform their first, most primary, function of turning the ATT U-Verse receiver on and off. That alone is a complete deal breaker, of course.In addition, although they were able to connect with and control our Samsung TV and our Marantz receiver, only one or the other could be programmed but not both at the same time. Programming the second unit appeared to cancel out the programming for the first in each case, regardless of order of programming.So we decided to get real and returned them and ordered the official ATT unit ... as we should have done from the beginning. It arrived and worked perfectly from the moment the package was opened. No programming was needed for the ATT U-Verse receiver and the Samsung TV and Marantz receiver accepted programming immediately.

Tried to load programming numbers and could could not do it. Had to call AT&T repairman. He came out and couldn't complete the download Sold.me an actual AT&T remote. Worked perfectly. The others I returned

They will only control volume and power on the TV. They do NOT work with your actual receiver so you can't do anything else with them.Completely useless product. TOTAL scam. Returning immediately.

This has been the worst experience with this product. I do have the remote hooked up to my tv, however trying to change the channels will NOT work. So frustrating. Can anyone help me? I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Don't assume compatibility.

We have 4 TVs, and since AT&T won't replace our remotes when they start to go bad, we have to buy them ourselves! This 2 pack was a good price compared to buying just one! We will certainly need to set up the other one in the next 6-12 mos. The new remote sets up easily - just read the instructions on which CODE to put in based on your TV brand. That's it! A solid product for a Fair Price!
