Only chemicals work.
IMHO 40 year experience with pet dogs and cats, "chemical" repellents work. "Safe, organic, essential oils, etc etc..." never work. Essential oils are chemicals produced by plants to ward off animals, mostly insects that munch on them. Carnivorous animals (dogs, cats) are no threat, and the poop and pee provides nitrogenous fertilizer, so essential oils have no deterrent effect. Even in the case of grass or catnip, the fertilizer provides an even exchange for the few blades or leaves eaten by your munchkins. The dangers of the flammable repellent (methyl nonyl ketone) are overrated. This chemical is similar to acetone, used as nail varnish remover, and to the appetite suppressant poisons produced in the body on a "keto" diet. Of course this chemical will kill you if you drink a cupful or indulge in glue sniffing with a plastic bag full of the spray: same if you do either with chlorine bleach. ( DO NOT DO THIS EVER). For a normal sane adult with a few precautions this works well as a pet repellent when used as directed.

Does Not Work, Smells Horrible.
I would akin the smell to something in an auto repair shop. It's a chemical smell that isn't too strong, but it lingers long enough to make you nauseous if not in a ventilated area.I sprayed this on my new couch corners because my cat seems to want to imbue everything with her scent, even though she has 6 scratching posts and 2 cat trees. Anyway, I sprayed this on, got sick of the smell, and let it settle/dissipate for the next several hours. 3 hours later, my cat was at it again, scratching not one but 2 couch corners :((((Save your nose, and maybe your health, by not buying this product and having to breathe in these noxious fumes.

Didn’t work for me
I wanted to try this because cat keep jumping to the plant I keep by the winter in the winter to eat the leaves, she’d sometimes try to lie inside the pot then dig up the dirt too. I was hoping the spray would keep her away but unless I’m spraying it on her, which startle her like it would if I spray water on her, it just doesn’t work. I sprayed it on the pot and the plant several times a day and my cat would still be making a bed out of the pot whenever she wanted. The spray has some really unpleasant scent and the liquid always get on my hand when after a few sprays, then i would have to wash my hand a few times to get rid of that annoying scent. So apparently the spray was effective in keeping me away but not my cat!

Worked for me immediately, I’ll definitely buy again if needed!
Works VERY well! I struggled with my 10 year old cat recently when she began pooping and peeing on an entry runner rug at my front door. It happened out of nowhere! I cleaned it every single time and deodorized every single time and she kept going back at night when I was asleep.I ordered this spray hoping it would do what it said and I’m glad to say, it did. It’s worked 100% since I received it last week. There is NO odor from the spray and it’s working just as described. I’ll def order again if my cat happens to return to her old behavior but as of now, looks like we are all clear!

Reapply problem
a perfect keep off Cat spray. Only thing is is that it doesn’t last as long you do have to reapply on the furniture or area that you don’t want your cat on!

not working so far, I need find something soon. this is not it
for the first 10 minutes, I after spray my dog stays off the couch. Don’t like the smell then he’s back on it within 30 minutes. It doesn’t last long I can use a whole can and he’s back on and I got more hair on the couch.
