wanted to isolate the mains water supply but the stop cock which is like 40 years old wouldnt budge as its turning screw had lost all its grip.spent 2 days trying different pliers and wrenches but none of them worked.eventually had to turned to amazon and started looking for a suitable tool ans stumbled upon this. Reviews looked very favorable and it was on sale too. Watched a couple of videos on youtube and everyone was raving about how good Visegrip is so I thought I should order it.It was delivered earlier than the estimated delivery date. Thanks Amazon.Immediately took it out of the packaging and in the very first attempt the stop cock started moving!!. The grip was just fantastic and the locking mechanism is quite satisfying which gives you the assurance that it wont slip when turning and twisting.I cant comment on how long it will last but lot of long term reviewers are quite positive about it so fingers crossed.
