However, as soon as you arrive in England (or any other English-speaking country), you soon realise that you don't understand a word! Why? Spoken English is derived from the ancient peoples of pre-Roman Britain, the Anglo-Saxons and the Vikings who settled amongst us. Many of these words are short and linked to adverbs and prepositions to create different meanings, both literal and metaphorical. This book gives you all the most important phrasal verbs and is essential to understand our beautiful spoken language.

I like this book. Good quarantine time with it. Ordered more from this series.

I'm a fan of the In Use series, so I liked this book. Wouldn't use it on its own though. A mix of the In Use books makes a really good learning experience.

This is a very interesting book aimed to learn the use of phrasal verb, perhaps, the most difficult part of the English language for non-English speakers.
