This is an AIA book about the splendid architecture of Miami and Miami Beach, Florida (which are two separate cities). The subject matter is quite fascinating, for those with a keen interest in it, like this reviewer. There are only two gripes: 1) Even though there is lots of blank space in the margins, leaving much room for pictures of each and every building, most entries lack pictures; those that do have pictures are often less interesting modern buildings. 2) The book consistently refers to "on Miami Beach," even though, as noted, Miami Beach is a city, not a "beach." Other than this, the book is indispensable to those heading Southbound - remember, Florida is very much part of the South!
