Technical Analysis for the Trading Professional 2E (PB)

Do the work and this book will pay you handsomely
I've read most of this book, some of it repeatedly, off and on over a five week period. I checked it out of the library (as I do with most "technical analysis" books before I buy them) and today I bought it.Some of the reviewers didn't care for the book and I suspect some of them didn't do their homework. This book has already paid for itself a hundred times. Although the market is my hobby and I've read at least a hundred stock market books that promise big profits,I think most people can understand and make money with this one.I've profited mostly from Chapters 1 and 8 (look in the table of contents to see the subject matter). I don't do Gann or Elliott, although I'm somewhat familiar with them. You'll probably be lost with these guys and I skipped those chapters.Bottomline, I bought the book for only three or four chapters - but those chapters present ideas that were new to me and I made money with them. The only other book I use is Dave Landry's Swing Trading. Yes, it's worth 35 bucks also. Good luck and good trading.

This book is a must for any elliottician !!!!
I have read Robert Prechter book like 4 times I know all what is needed to know about Elliott wave analysis, but I did find it hard applying it, this book tells you the real thing, do you know how does it feel when you know all the rules and when you want to apply them it gets difficult, well this book shows you how to see those waves in real life plus a lot more of very interesting things, like calculating price targets using RSI.Above all that Connie deep understanding of markets behavior open your eyes to a lot of interesting analysis method, I consider this book as one of my best books. I know some reviews are asking about the real meat! As she mentions a couple of stuff but did not provide them. I think of it this way, I didn't even know that they existed before reading this book, how to get them is up to you to find out. For example the composite index formula can be found in break through technical analysis book. I leave the rest for you to find out where to get them. Or just do like me and take the advance price course she offers :).

This is the worst trading book that I have read ever
This is the worst trading book that I have read ever! I'm a book lover, I read 20-30 books a year, and I have more than 2000 books out of which about 200 about investment. I always respect others work and sharing, no matter if the work fits for me. I have to say, this is the single piece that annoys me so that I try very hard not to tear it apart! What a nightmare! In order to give a comment from a responsible perspective, I exhausted all my endurance to read it.1. The author is never able to focus on one topic. When she tries to talk about topic A, she starts from A1 and then detours to B/C/D/E/F which are totally irrelevant and which only serves the purpose to show off how much she knows, and then she comes back to talk about A2, and I as a reader have lost the thread and the interest.2. The author writes in a super long-winded way, making me doubt if she has a logic flow and if she really works as a trader managing real money. I did experience lengthy write-up, i.e. trader vic, but Vic writes in such a well organised way, with his major points and supporting evidence all presented illuminatingly. This work is a piece of bla bla bla connecting crap crap crap.3. She defines some propitiatory patterns/signals, i.e. RSI positive/negative reversals, however, what she writes is just a mess, rather than a clear illustration to how those patterns/signals work, and in fact, I try those on large indices and rarely discovers an coincidence. She does NOT give a possibility back test result or a scenario analysis for her magic patterns/signals, making readers doubt how such bits and pieces would lead one in real time trading.4. The charts included in the book are NOT representative at all, and the author claims those are from real time trade, which seems suspicious to me, as some charts bear wrong numbers/dates and do NOT match each other. Also, the quality of charts is kind of garbage, killing my eyes. I have aching eyes all day after reading it, what a horrible experience. I then got to know why such poor quality, see point 5.5. This is a bait hooking readers to buy her formula/service at ridiculous price. The book never intends to share any wits, instead, it is a full set of self-worship and marketing tool. She keeps bowing to her great intelligence that she discovers a way to magically tweak the old formulas based on GANN to fit today's market, and she tells you 5% of that and she wants you to pay her for the rest 95%.I wish AMZN would have negative asterisk so that I could value this book more appropriately. I wish no more people would waste time on this.
