Wouldn't Turn On At First
Seems to work and comes with warning not to rely on it entirely. I tend to agree. It would turn on when I put in AB alkaline batteries. Then I tried rechargeable ones and it still would not turn on. I was ready to turn it back when I notice two batteries on the table. Must have fell out unnoticed. I put in the non-alkaline batteries (no less) and it turned on instantly even though the manufacturer says to use alkaline batteries which did not work. I then took out the plain mercury batteries and reinstalled the AB alkaline and it turns on and seems to work. Jiggle around the sensor to make sure it captures the loose AC radiation and so far it works in capturing them showing the wire or connection is HOT.

Works as Expected
Seems like it works well. Its pretty sensitive, detects electricity from several inches away. Havent gotten shocked yet so it must be pretty accurate lol. Its kind of bulky compared to other voltage testers I've used, but I'm not exactly putting this in my pocket for EDC so not a big deal.

I suppose that it DOES work well. That is, if you can tolerate the horrible beeping that it makes...
The digital readout is the main reason that I chose this no contact voltage tester. But even though it tis the only one that I have seen that has a digital readout, I'm afraid that I can't recommend it... The beeping that it makes is kind of ear splitting, and I can find no way to turn it off or to turn it down. I have another one of these by Klein Tools that doesn't have a digital readout, but the beeping on it is much more subdued. And so, as much as I wanted one of these with a digital readout, the beeping that this one makes is so bad that I won't even use it at all...

Cheap feel and very dangerous
Don't buy it. It is not acurate and feels very cheap. I bought it months ago and only used today for the first time. The clear plastic cap of the tip that is used for testing fell off and got stuck in the receptacle. Don't waste your money. It is very bad.Update: After my review customer support contacted me and refunded the amount and send me another one. On the new one, the plastic cover of the tip is more secure. Picture for reference. On the left the previous one and on the right the new one. From 1 to 5 star. Customer service was great.

Works well
While a voltage tester isn't something you should necessarily cheap out on, this does the job well. I've used it for several projects around the house already.

Received with damaged batteries
I've only had this for a day and used it once. The product worked okay and as expected. The only issue I have is it arrived with a badly damaged AAA battery so I tossed both batteries and used my own. The box the device came in was not damaged so I can only assume the batteries came from the factory damaged.
