WARNING. These don’t last.
We bought these thinking we would save money. I was wrong, these only last about 6-8 weeks instead of 3-4 months. I would suggest not buying these as they actually cost us more.

Defective like many others have said
Appears to be defective as others have mentioned. Only installed for approx 3 weeks and my salt system went inactive. Water is green, smells of no chlorine. When I took the cartridge out, it appeared as if the bottom may have fallen off and there were recesses on both sides of the cartridge bottom with brown rock-like material which I believe is calcium.
