If your looking to control the VCF of your synth (like a wha wha) pedal, look no further. Roland only make high quality products and they always stand the test of time. Plug the EV-5 straight into a Mini Moog Voyager EB filter control in jack in and your hands free. Fantastic control and there's also an unobtrusive variable range rotary control neatly tucked away on the pedal itself which governs the variable range. Asking this pedal to do the same thing on another synth might mean some digging around. I've just ordered another EV-5. It just seems absolutely necessary to keep both hands playing when expressing via the VCF and this pedal does just that. Great value pedal.

I bought this when I realised my Yamaha FC-7 did not work properly with other brand keyboards, including my Arturia Keylab Mk2 and my Roland FPX digital piano. Whilst made primarily of plastic, this seems quite solid and robust. The pedal also features a minimum volume adjustment which helps you fine tune the range of the pedal. Great when used with organ sounds for swell, but equally works nicely with the FPX pianos for adjusting pad layers or overall volume control. You can also use with some keyboards to assign to filter cut off or resonance for some funky wah wah effects!Doesn't slide around the floor and easy to operate with the foot. Very pleased with the overall performance.

I use this with a two-mono (pedal) to stereo (keyboard) arrangement and it works perfectly to control two keyboard functions. The only criticism I have is that it has no on/off switch, being permanently on (and draining battery) so long as there is a jack in any of the sockets. No real problem, but it just means constantly having to pull the jacks out when not in use. When only used live at gigs this wouldn't be a problem, but for studio use when the keyboard and pedals are permanently set up it's a nuisance.

I've been using it at home and gigs and it's sturdy enough if you take it easy. Don't expect a miniature tank under your foot where you could put all your weight on it.It does what it has to do with class, it offers great value for the money and also has a good range (I mostly use as a cry baby/wah pedal). Light on weight without losing quality on its finishing.2 cms (or nearly a inch if you will) longer and it would be perfect but for now, it fits for purpose and I cannot complain at all.

I am using the Boss EV-5 with my Boss GT-001 desktop guitar effects unit. Its amazing and I didn't not realise how useful this pedal is. Depending on the pedal you connect it to you can control any parameter of an effect. So if it was a delay it would be the delay time or the effect level and blend that in.With the Boss GT-001 your able to assign multiple effects together so you could have the delay and the direct mix of an overdrive pedal come in with each effect coming in at different levels.The only issue I had was not with the pedal but setting up the pedal with the Boss GT-001. There are so many options it took a little while to work out how to set the pedal to control the effect or effects I wanted in the way that i wanted. With a little playing around its quite easy to work out.

I returned the pedal as I couldn't get it to work for my unit so check compatibility before purchase. I think this would be a good volume pedal but doesn't feel sturdy enough to assign as a wah wah which would be a more punishing application.

Easy to control the wave of wah-wah, depth of echo, and length of delay effect. Duly, just use as an extra pedal to control the sound parameters of the multi-effect processors , such as hotone ampera 2, Boss GT1000core, Line6 TX and many others.

I bought this for my Roland VR-730 Combo keyboard and it's a perfect match, it defaults as a volume pedal but can be changed to control other effects and best of all the speed of the Leslie effect speaker.

I got this to use with a BOSS pedal (BOSS syb-5) and it works perfectly. I like the feel of it under my foot. Good stuff.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a heavy duty sturdy foot switch and looks well made.I run mine off a 33 foot cable and it works perfect. I do not like to stand too close to the amp and that is why I use a long cable.It is powered by a 9 Volt battery which is included with the switch. I have seen some reviews were some are not happy about having to use a battery. I personally like the fact it is run by a battery as then no need to hook it up to a power supply. I am not sure how long the battery will last but no big deal as one can buy a few rechargeable 9 Volt batteries.I use this switch with the Boss Katana - 50 MK11 Amplifier which has 4 channels that one can program to various amp settings.After buying the switch with only two foot switches I assumed that one can only access two channels and not 4 and then thought I should have looked for a switch with 4 switches on it. However it access all 4 channelsAt the back of the switch are 3 locations to plug the cable into as A or B or AB. To access both Switch A and switch B, one just needs to plug the cable into the middle AB input .A basic guitar cable will psychically fit but will not work so make sure you get the right type of cable. The cable will have two black lines, separating 3 sections. I bought mine from Amazon.ca..At the back one can flip a switch from "Momentary" to the “Latch” position as if not, one will not be able to access all 4 Channels. With Latch mode, one pushes the switch down, and a channel is then locked in and when one pushes the switch again then the channel is no longer locked in.With the momentary setting one must constantly have the switch held down and that is why one could not access 4 channels unless one can push all switches down at the same time.Have not had this switch a long time or used it a lot but so far I am 100% happy with it and would easily recommend it to anyone. Shipping was also very fast and we all like that.
