For the price you just canāt beat it. Moves water like crazy and is very quiet. Have had zero issues with mine, and have no complaints whatsoever

Pushes a lot of water
I ordered this for my 6' 125 gallon reef tank. It pushes a lot of water and does a great job of keeping a current going. I am going to add a second one at the other end to get even more turbulence.Side note is the connections they used is the same as a RayWu style connector so you can add a pixel extension cable to get the controller further away from the Gyre.

Longevity
This is a huge no buy in my book! Lasted 3 months! For this price should have lasted for years not months! Better options are definitely cheaper and much better.

Worked really well for a almost 2 weeks
Worked really well for almost 2 weeks, had good water flow, quiet, though i found a good company. Almost 2 weeks in it started to make rattling noises and stopped working, hopefully it was a bad unit and not a tell of the company.

Moves a lot of water quietly, and at great value.
I was sold on the concept of a gyre after visiting a fellow reefer a few days ago to pick up some new coral. I'd been looking to add more flow to my tank. I already have 3x Vortech MP40's in my 250g tank, but wanted flow that was wider. He had two gyres in his two tanks and the flow was impressive. I got the MT-4200 model because I have a 250g tank (72x24x28H) and I really liked the price. The MagTool offers four functions: constant, pulse, tidal, and random. You can set the speed from 40-100% in 20% intervals. In Pulse and Tidal mode you can adjust the frequency of the peak flow. I picked Random mode at 100% because in my mind, more flow is better, and random gives you more coral movement for softies and LPS. I also have about 10 bubble tip anemones in my tank that I like to see the tentacles move on.It has a feed mode button on the control unit to pause flow for 10 minutes. I don't use it because I like my fish to chase their food, but it's there if you like it.Setup is a snap and is intuitive. It took me all of 2 minutes. And although the unit is only officially rated for 1/2 inch glass, I have it on 3/4 inch glass and haven't had any issues with slipping or falling off. Before I bought the pump I reached out to MagTool to ask them if it would work on 3/4 inch glass and they ran a mockup in their lab and got back to me within hours with video showing the mockup and that the magnets held. That's pretty good customer service if you ask me.The control unit is also intuitive and uses a physical unit, which I like for simplicity. 15 seconds to set it how I liked it. It has a display which shows the mode, % and frequency of peaks. Everything that you need. I hear that there are other gyre units with more bells and whistles, but I don't think anything more is really necessary for a good functional unit. The pump in action is virtually silent. It's certainly no louder than my MP40QD's. The fan on my lights is louder. As I hoped, it moves a lot of water in a broad flow. I angled the flow downwards slightly towards my rock and coral. Its flowrate is about the same as one my MP40's, but at 1/4 the cost. The price on this MagTool unit was a strong reason why I picked this brand, but it does everything that I want it to do, quietly. Overall, the unit is everything that I wanted at a very modest price.

Nice gyre for the price
I've only had it in the tank for a couple days now but so far so good. It was a little noisy for the first hour or so if running but it's whisper quiet now. Controller is very easy to understand. One thing I didn't know when I bought this gyre, the lowest you can set the speed is 40%. Make sure you consider this when choosing the right size gyre for your tank. Would recommend this product.

Very powerful. So far, so good.
I installed this in my 55G reef tank. It's pretty strong, so I keep it on the lowest setting. So far, it's doing great.
