Works in France and Switzerland. Take duct tape.
I can confirm that these plugs work in France and Switzerland (specifically Paris and Grindelwald) even though the sockets are slightly different in each country. We just used them in both locations within the last week. I recommend taking strips of duct tape to keep them secured to your plugs. They don’t stay connected well because 1) it’s necessary that the prongs are flexible and thin enough to fit the sockets with smaller holes in France compared to Switzerland, and 2) they don’t stay connected well because the combination of plugs stick too far out of the wall to reasonably be held together. This problem is easily solved with duct tape.

Any darker color than white!
As intended. Ordering the black colored ones helps you to not to leave them behind. On a recent trip we had a total of three of these adapters for which the holdout was the black one. When you leave your stay and quickly pull the US style plug out, you may inadvertantly leave behind the adapter. Since wall receptables are usually white, the black make the adapter stand out so that you won't forget it.

These adapters are the most versatile.
It was just what I needed. I recently visited Turkey and the adapter I had did not fit the outlet. My adapter was square with multiple prongs for different countries, but the outlets were round. With these adapters round or square outlets won't matter. Also the price was very reasonable for the four pack.

Beware poor quality.
When it came time to use these plugs they did not work. Did not grip US plug for connection. Too bad I can't return this useless product the return window is closed. My vacation was a month long and the return window is 1 month.
