Excellent quality strings from Rotosound. Mine were fitted and set up with a couple of adjustments to tighten the truss rod of the bass, (Tokai Hardpuncher); strings lowered at the bridge to give low flat action. Bass volume and tone all the way up, Amp EQ set flat with a touch of compression. Great smooth fell make rapid finger style playing more precise (and therefore easier), with great sharp tone.Recommended if you want to play those galloping bass lines - which is probably why you are looking at these strings! Just ensure you are fitting them to a bass that has a working truss rod, and probably best suited to 'P' style basses - I would not personally fit them to my J style basses.

Just brilliant on my fretless, flatwound but bright sounding, great overall feel and response. Bit heavy for some but my fingers got used to them quickly.Certainly going to try them on my fretted bass next.

Good strings. I use these on my new Dean Electro-Acoustic Fretless bass. I tuned them in D-G-C-F tuning, they are very comfortable and I don't have any problems with high-tension

Haven't been playing very long so these were my first experience with flats, Iron Maiden heavily inspires me and it just feels cool to have this tone

It gets you the clanky gallops you're looking for, these are now my main strings on most of my basses, can't go wrong

There are brighter sounding strings out there . But if a good sounding smooth scale shift is wot ur after . Fill ya boots .

First of all be warned-these are VERY high tension strings, and if you are putting them on a bass that had previously strung with regular gauge roundwounds, your truss rod will need considerable tweaking or your neck will look like a smiley face! I used a set of these a few years ago on a Revelation P bass copy, only had to make minimal adjustments and loved sound and feel of them.However, recently put a set on my Fender Mexican P Bass, but even with the necessary truss rod and height adjustments the strings felt so tight and stiff the bass was virtually unplayable.I don't think there is a fault with the strings, it may be that my particular bass cant handle the high tension.If you are thinking of buying these I would suggest going to a guitar tech for advice first.I now use Rotosound 77 Jazz flatwounds on my P Bass. Same smooth feel, but lighter gauge and feel much more confortable to play.

Great sounding strings with a nice feel to them. I will definitely be buying these again when the current set get old.

I have a Fender Squire Modified Vintage Jaguar Bass with Stock PU's, self Refitted HIGH MASS BRIDGE. FINALLY HAVE A NICE BOOMING SOUND with (still) lots of TONAL COLORING! Also the FLAT WOUNDS are SILKY SMOOTHE as far as letting you slide from one note to the next!

Es para mi una compra muy recomendada. El sonido es ideal tanto para blues como para el rock. Lo he utilizado para canciones de jazz y la gente me comenta que se asemeja mucho al contrabajo. Para comprarlo os recomendaría esperar a alguna oferta porque lo suelen encarecer mucho y creo que no debería superar los 35,00€.

Las utilice en un Fender P-bass 50 aniversario y le dieron un sonido grueso y profundo. El tacto a los dedos es genial. En resumen suenan brutalmente bien.
