Perfect for my lotus seeds that have germinated. Followed easy (messy) directions to make the wet dirt (mud) that these seeds need to grow into beautiful lotus flowers. My fingers are crossed that I am successful.

It may have been my fault. I put it at the bottom of the pond for the seeds I was growing. When I added the water, it got all cloudy with dirt particles. I guess you need to get it wet first and then add water. There is much rock in it, seems more rock than dirt to me. I'm not sure I like it, and I couldn't use it for the seeds. I think you have to use it when the plants are already established.

So far so good. My seeds sprouted. I planted them and they are growing I even have a couple of leaves

I am disappointed. You get much less than it appears in the seller photo's, the bag is tiny. It only filled one small pot.It is also filthy. I knew to expect some dirt and I rinsed it over and over again and no matter how much I rinsed, it still left a mess when I put it in my pond.I've used another brand where you got a lot more and much cleaner.

Looks very clear after sitting overnight. Have to soak it, skim off the floaters and sit overnight.Will be transferring my sprouted lotus seeds today.Second picture - all my lotus transferred into the soil.

I was pleased to find this soil option, as I wanted to grow some lotus flowers! I purchased many manages of seeds, and was able to plant several which had sprouted! This made me very happy! But then the seedlings began to mold. They didn’t survive! Not sure what went wrong! It seems like very good soil; I have to think the problem was with the seeds.
