If you want to use an Odyssey G9 57" monitor at the full 7680x2160 resolution, this cable is the way to go! It does tie up one of your thunderbolt ports, but it's more reliable than the HDMI port on the computer is, as annoying as that is.As you can see in the picture, a ton of resolutions work, all at 120Hz, with HDR support too.Since my monitor only has 1 displayport connector, I then plugged it into my cable matters displayport 1.4 KVM switch and am happy to report that the screen still works at 7680x2160@120hz!So it's a little expensive, but the connectors are great - the monitor end doesn't have that goofy button on it.I'm very happy!

The quality is fine and the connectivity is superb, as long as you are fine with it being compatible with only certain supported USB-C DP ports. Sound and video is great and reflects the high speeds that this cable offers.As a display port cable, it’s odd. If doesn’t have the latch (which almost every review has mentioned) which is fine, it still works. It’s also uni-directional, from C to display port, so as long as that’s what you need then it will work. It’s not quite a premium gel, but it’s not by any means ooor quality: it’s just right. I’m not sure if it’s a value because it seems a bit privy for a unidirectional cable, but it might be a value for the money considering that it is coming from a quality brand with a certification. If you care about those things as I do, it might be worth it, otherwise it will be like any other display port cable ( except without the latch). Hope this helps!

My initial review reported that this cable did not work with my Mac Studio or my MacBook Pro. Since posting that review, I re-evaluated my setup and discovered I had plugged this cable into the DisplayPort Out port on my monitor by mistake. This cable works now that I have plugged it into the DisplayPort In port.

Not bi directional. Works fromUsb c sources to dp monitor input. 1 way only. Theres another variant that is bi directional

Does what it should. The cable was connected and never moves. I haven’t done any diagnostic testing but it works expected. I upgraded to future proof my home office. Would buy again.

My monitor only has a DisplayPort input and since my new Mac has several USB-C connectors this cable turned out to be the perfect solution to connect them together. The operation was seamless. No extra configuration was needed for my Mac to instantly recognize the full resolution of the monitor through the DisplayPort. The cable is built very well and should last a long time. Its 3' length is perfect for my desk where the computer and monitor are. Bottom line, I'm very happy with how well this cable performs.
