The double-pulley housing is indeed stainless. The carabiner is regular steel, and therefore it will rust if left outside.For this to be a 5-star product, I would like to see better tolerances in the side-to-side play of the 2 pulleys. As it stands, there is so much play that you really need at least a 3/8" diameter cable to prevent the cable from getting wedged between the side of the pulley and the outer housing, and then everything jams up.

I bought this for my grandsons zip line. The trolley that came with it was cheaply built, and soon tore up. This unit appears to be extremely tough. It is so fast that I had to lower the angle on the zip line because my grandson was now afraid to use it. I purchased this unit because the bearings could be replaced. I think we’re gonna really like it.

well boxed. looks good. strong and sturdy. moves quickly and smoothly. after a week of being outside on the line, and a couple good rain showers, it already had signs of surface rust on the carabiner and parts of the trolley. it cleaned up with some light oil and a rag, but still worth noting i think. maintain it and it should last a long time.

When I opened the magnetic case, I was just so amazed at how beautiful this trolley is!!!! Picking it up, I could just feel the quality of it! Originally, I had purchased a zipline it, but later returned it and decided to purchase the individual components instead. Just based on this purchase, I am so glad I did. I am a recreational tree climber who understands good quality. Being able to remove the trolley is a big plus. We also live near salt water and know that certain metals are more likely to react to salty air. I will try to update this post with a video of our 75 foot zip line when we are finished with the installation. I am sure there will be challenges in accommodating both my 225 lb hubby AND our grandkids. Doing preliminary research will most likely pay off and allow the installation to go smoothly.

Very solid equipment for a zipe line. All stainless steel for being left outside. I would recommend it to anyone no matter what their size. Also it is very smooth feeling and very quick.

I ordered a slightly cheaper trolley previously. After the first few uses I noticed that flecks of aluminum starting to come off of the wheels. I ordered this one following that purchase. This one never flecked any metal and only showed slight imprints from the cable after a full days use. We have enjoyed this one and it seems to be very rugged.

Worked as advertise. What I like is it is stainless steel. What I don't like is the opening to place the carabiner through has sharp edges and if you are using first quality professional climbing rated aluminum carabiners the sharp edges will dig into the carabiner. If you are hanging yourself or someone you care about from your zipline you want climbing rated carabiners and not some cheap facsimile knockoff. Just know your carabiners will be scarred and probably not good for using with ropes in the future.

Extremely well pleased with this great bit of kit. Super well made. Highly polished chromed steel. Comes in a box, well it’s far too good to call just a box. It is more akin to a n expensive watch presentation case. I was well impressed with it. Can’t speak too highly of it. If you haven’t worked out the speed it can safely reach then you will be pleased to finds it’s really fast.So much better than expected.Very happy to recommend.
