The Unistik 3 works first time every time. My wife uses a machine to check her INR weekly and the lancets that come with it are useless. We have used this brand for several years. When we could no longer find them locally Amazon came through.

These safety lancets are easy to use, safe, light weight and virtually painless. Just screw off the plastic top, place firmly against the inside of your finger and press the release button. Next thing you know, a few drops of blood are waiting to be tested.

Perfect length, sharpness and width of blade for INR testing. And great price too!

Good to use when you need a larger drop of blood for a test other than glucose. Easy to use and safe that the needle stays enclosed in the hard plaster.

I am a veteran and they give mne the ancient ones and this is so great and convientent, I have recommended this product to a lot of people and I will continue to purchase these,I am about to re-order them.

These are no longer the ones pictured. The gauge is said to be the same as the ones I used to buy, but they hurt when I use them. The old ones didn't hurt.

I can't give lancets five stars...impossible to "love," but these are as simple and pain-free as fingersticks get. Don't forget to puncture the finger pad at the bottom of the finger for INRs so gravity does the work. I should point out that Unistiks are available in a "deeper stick" size for INR meters, but I use these for the Hemosense meter, which requires a fairly large drop, and at worst have to use a second strip to get enough sample, usually because I rushed the puncture and didn't hit the best spot (see above). Used properly, I believe I wouldn't be wasting any of the INR strips. And for glucose, these are a no-brainer.
