Previous L'occitane employee, I read the reviews many people confused about the product being authentic or opening the product and it not having a seal. I've used this shower oil for years, this one is the real authentic product, l'occitane typically doesn't contain a seal on their products.This is a shower oil, the way L'occitane makes their products they try to naturally source their ingredients and use the least amount chemicals as possible. The foaming agent in most shower soaps/shampoo/conditioner is sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). I've noticed most of their products do not contain this as it dries out the skin or irritates it, thus they use a natural replacement.It does not foam the way others do as your skin absorbs the hydrating properties.The scent is sweet it's not super strong but it is noticeable and very nice, I've always gotten compliments on it.This shower oil is thin and turns lightly creamy with water on the skin.Another not often noticed fact is that it can be used to shave legs and leave my legs so soft after shaving. It does not clog my razor.It's cleans great and leave you smooth and smelling sweet an elevated quality compared to others.Hope this helps

Pricey, yes.Worth it? Yes.I have extremely dry skin. Can’t use soap dry skin. Sensitive skin. I’ve had all the dermatologist cleansers and THIS is by far the best. (And it’s nice that there a slight almond fragrance too, after a while of no scents you kind of would like to have a touch of something)The difference is that it’s shower oil vs gel/soap.My skin doesn’t hurt after a shower. I still have to use oil but there’s a VAST difference in the way my skin feels!It’s thick enough for shaving as well. It will lather if that’s your thing.There have a been a few others that have popped up that have been SUPER TEMPTING for me to try but in the end I never do because I don’t want to give this up even for one shower! It’s that good for me.Bonus: it helps quell sunless tan stripping/streak fading from soap as it’s shower oil and very hydrating.

After reading all the reviews prior to ordering this moisturizing body oil, it seems there are two camps: love it or hate it. Here’s my take from the middle. What I love: I enjoy the pleasant mild almond scent, but there are enough “smells like wet dog” reviews that make me wonder if the scent changes as the product ages. While I wouldn’t describe it as a “lather”, I do appreciate that it thickens up more like a lotion when I rub it in my hands before applying to my body. This lessens the slip factor of an oily shower floor. Like others, I was surprised to see that the bottle is not safety sealed, which increases the chances of the product leaking during shipping or travel. The oil itself leaves my skin feeling clean and moisturized and I appreciate not having to apply lotion after my shower, esp in the summertime. That being said, I do find the cost to be expensive and I’m not sure the product is worth the high price tag, when there are so many other great brands on the market.

I got the almond scent and it is the best smelling body oil EVER!! I smell so fresh and clean. I don’t even want to wear perfume, which I am obsessed with wearing, because the oil is such an amazing scent!

This almond shower oil feels amazing on the skin. It transforms into a silky foam when wet and leaves my skin soft, smooth, and hydrated. The scent is light, comforting, and lasts a while. I use it daily, especially when my skin feels dry. A little goes a long way. Worth every penny!

So I got this rec off TikTok. So if you don’t like an almond/ marzipan smell this it not for you. However, I am a fan of the scent. I find it best lathers in your Korean/African net sponge with your water turned off. Get it wet and it lathers nice for the whole body. When I don’t use the sponge, I feel like each squirt gets my top or bottom. It does have a nice silky feel afterwards and nice for a first step in shaving. Previously I was using mineral oil, but not using that on my whole body. But I use this almond oil on my whole body and I feel way more smooth. It’s expensive for the amount you get. If I was on a budget, I would just continue to use mineral oil for pre shaving on legs and privates. But this is a nice luxury
