I scoured the webs looking for the closest to OEM, and this is the best I found on Amazon after researching too much. Correct fit, size, & dimensions. Hopefully you have a bit of guts to do this and wear PPE while removing the OEM battery. People just don’t know when a lithium battery can explode and you REALLY have to contort the old battery to remove it. It will arrive doa, so don’t freak out when you try to turn the laptop back on and nothing happens. 10-15 minutes after plugging it in, should fire right up. Holds a charge well, and operates very closely to oem.

So far, the new battery is working like a charm. I strongly suggest reading the information from ifixit.com and following their step by step installation process. Be patient...go slow...don't force anything...you may need to get a Y00 screwdriver to remove one screw. The hardest part was removing the adhesive from the laptop. Remember to use a low voltage charger for the initial power on.

The battery worked great for almost 3 weeks, and then exhibited diminished charge capacity, requiring longer charges more frequently. After 5 weeks, the battery is dead. Won't charge at all. Total junk. I opted for this battery because of reviews, but I feel at this point the experience with them may just be hit or miss. Given the effort needed to change these batteries out, it's a serious pain in the ass that it died this quick. Complete trash

My 4.5 year old MacBook Retina was sorely in need of a new battery. At most I was getting only 2 hours of life with low demand email use only. I ordered a replacement battery from EBKK and it was delivered promptly and it was well packed for protection. It is not an easy replacement task, so I put it into the hands of a professional. The existing battery is firmly stuck in with adhesive tape, and has a very fragile harness connecting the battery to the board. However, with some work and the need to buy a replacement harness, the battery was installed. I now have a 'like new' lease on battery life, with easily 8-10 hours of usage. I would recommend that EBKK include a spare harness for added value. It is at best a $5.00 part added to a fairly expensive but well made replacement battery. Given the effort to replace, go for the best battery you can find.

Good product, fast delivery. Be aware that the provided tools are not sufficient enough to complete the install. If you have proper quality tools already go for it, if not take your MacBook to pro for install.

There is no Tri-wing screwdriver provided (which is needed for the battery replacement) despiste including 3 screwdrivers with this battery and cable.The battery might work fine,... but I won't be able to know that until the second set of screwdrivers I was forced to order arrives.I feel it's worth noting that I bought this "kit" over others in part because it claims to include the tools needed..It does not.

This was an extremely thought out replacement. I recommend watching several different types of installation videos before attempting. Some videos have you take the entire bottom of the computer off while others have you do it without. I would definitely recommend doing the full removal. When using the alcohol to remove the excess of glue, I also recommend using a straight razor and completely cleaning off all the residue. When installing the battery start in the middle and work your way out. One very important factor is to start powering the battery up using a low wattage charger. The one that would come with an iPhone or an iPad once you’ve done that for a few minutes you can switch to the standard charger that comes with the laptop

Battery gave new life to my daughter’s MacBook. Installation is quite involved (30 steps and 2+ hours). So check online for step-by-step directions and videos. MacBook is now good as new.Warning: you have to be careful with the included tools - they work, but you need make sure the heads are completely seated in the screws and you’re holding the tools at a 90 degree angle, or you can deform the heads .
