Works well, but they don't make it clear that you need a DVBT2 TV and that an older DVBT1 TV won't display a picture.However a cheap DVBT2 receiver can be used to send picture to an older DVBT1 TV.Also although it has HDMI OUT as well as the HDMI IN, it won't pass through the HDMI signal if the power is switched off. Worked well for 2 months, afetr that it started playing up. Stops, starts again the following day, behaves funnily. I ahve another one exactly the same which I have been using for over a year now without any problems

I am using this to distribute a Sky HD box to bedroom in preparation for moving to Sky Q. I had been using analogue RF out with satisfactory results - mono sound and a soft but clear picture.I control the Sky box over wifi using a cheap iPhone app and it gave an instant result. Note that with this modulator the encoding process adds a delay of around 1.5 seconds so any remote control over your input will have this delay introduced, which is a pain.I had to lose Dolby Digital sound and revert to PCM to get sound. Meaning I’ve lost 5.1 in the main room on my Sonos unless I change the settings every time. The triax unit doesn’t accept bitstream input - only PCM.Even with that, the sound reproduction over DVB is very metallic sounding. The picture also shows a lot of artefacts on movement despite being ‘1080P’ which aren’t visible when connected directly. I cannot find any way, and the poor user manual does not describe any way, to change the output resolution.In conclusion, it works, but it doesn’t work well. It gives a viewable picture for most content but the sound is very disappointing and I expected better at this price point.If sky Q had rf out, I’d have continued to use that instead.
