i was looking for a way to show my 4 years old how long a person should wash which is 20 seconds but i could not find that but seeing that a person has to turn it over i think the 30 seconds is perfect, the only downfall is that i had to order so many in one package

With the Covid pandemic, we want to make sure our preschool students are washing their hands for at least 20 seconds. At their age, we knew this would be challenging without the use of a visual reminder. So we gave these timers a shot, and the cost was so affordable compared to others on Amazon. We bought the timer with the red sands so that it would be easier for our kids to see when they can stop scrubbing. Our kids have gotten so used to them now...it’s great! We didn’t know what to expect, so it’s a pleasant surprise! The only thing we noticed was that the children sometimes knocked them over and would crack slightly or that water would somehow enter the timers, given that they sat on the sink. To resolve both issues, we bought adhesive razor holder hooks, which the timers slide onto. It keeps the timers dry by keeping them off of the sink and from getting knocked over to the ground. For the price and assurance that children are staying healthy, I would totally recommend these timers for hand washing!

These are great sand timers. Even though they may be off from each other by a couple seconds, they all work well with no sand becoming stuck.

These do the job, however they are not accurate. Look carefully at the sand level in each one. Various amounts of sand. Some had such little sand that I had to throw them away.
