It does get the job done
It's not based on TCP/IP so don't be surprised it won't work via switch/router etc, you need direct physical connection between the two.Works flawlessly, the image/audio quality is truly lossless, I mean absolutely clear unlike an encoded MPEG.Not only the output image/audio is absolutely identical to the source but the latency is non-existent. I have mouse, keyboard, and game controller hooked up to this thing and I feel zero latency both input and output. It's like plugged straight into to the USB and HDMI.Tested with 30m non-shielded stranded cat5e cable, worked perfectly, the final assembly is a 20m cat6 solid core shielded cable, just in case because of the POE.Both have power input, however it works via POE, you only power one of the two of your choice and it powers the other via the ethernet cable. You are supplied only one power adapter as only one needed. It does support 2k@60Hz (1440p) when set to Copy mode along with many other resolutions and 24-60Hz , oddly when set to "2K" it is fixed 1080p@60Hz. Set to 4k it's 4k.Receiver operating temperature feels 40-45 Celsius, make sure you place it somewhere where heat can dissipate.Very impressed, it does what it described to do, flawlessly. Not yet experienced freezing or glitches ***knock on wood....

Works flawlessly !
I want to stream my games from my PC in my office to my lounge TV (15 meters distance). I first bought 3 or 4 different HDMI cables, but I had many flickering image/sound issues each time, even with the premium quality ones. Then I finally get this device ; plug cables, power on : it works ! Stable 4K 60FPS and HDR over a 15m ethernet cable. I also tested with an USB keyboard and a Dualshock 4 controller, working very well too.I highly recommend !

Died after 7 weeks
I've had several units like this in the past. One, which only does 4k@30 has been happily going for 2 years now. A second (Portta 4k@60) died after 14months. It ran very hot from the start, which is a bad sign for electronics.I liked the idea that this one can use PoE to power the receiver. I was disturbed, then to find the receiver unit running as hot as my previous Portta one. I kept it in a well-ventilated area and turned it off when not in use. I received it on June 1st, and it died on July 21st.Amazon recommend contacting the dealer after the 30-day refund period, but there are no dealer contact details anywhere to be found.I am sending the dead unit back to Amazon for a full refund. I'm now unsure what to do as I still need such a unit. my 4k@30 runs cool and is stable. Both this and the Portta ran hot and ultimately stopped working. It makes you wonder if all the 4k@60 units are just clones made in the same factory, so they all have the same faults. The question now is, do I order another one of these hoping the failure was an off chance, or try to find another make, or just get another stable 4k@30 unit.UPDATE: I don't understand why Amazon said it's not possible to work with the seller on this, as a few weeks later the seller contacted my directly. They have sent me a replacement unit. The new one still gets very hot, put using PoE I'm unplugging the power to the receiver when I don't need it.The transmitter does not get hot, and it's in a difficult to reach area, so I'm not shutting it down (I guess it would make sense to put it on an smart socket that I can turn off, as the receiver would also turn off).

It works exactly as described.
This item works exactly as described. I am transmitting a 4k feed at 25hz over 75m of Cat6 cable. Occasionally I will lose mouse and keyboard control, and the USB needs re-seating at the computer end, but this could also be an issue with my multiview KVM too.The main issue with this item is it is not shielded from EMI and if I use a 2 way radio near it, or place my phone close, I lose video signal.

Brilliant piece of kit
I was struggling to find a way to link my PC up to my TV downstairs, as the distance was a bit too far for a HDMI cable to be reliable, and the various network methods I tried weren't any where close to fast enough. This was the perfect solution.I have noticed that it starts causing flicker when powered on sometimes, and I think this might be solved (sometimes) by having the ethernet cable plugged in before power on. Not a big enough problem to dock a star in my opinion. I settled on leaving the device on all the time (it does get quite warm) and I've had no problems streaming 4k@60fps, though I haven't tried any of the HDR stuff properly.I've also used the USB feedback feature for controllers without problems. I'm not sure the EDID feature works completely, though I don't understand it fully either so I can't be sure. My desktop PC says it is connected to a 4k monitor regardless of what the slider is on. This isn't a problem for me because the TV is 4k, and I've just left the slider on Copy.Overall, I love it!

Works very well but has developed an overheating problem
I've been using this extender for a couple of years now (so well out of warranty). For the first couple of years it has performed perfectly (at 4K) - every aspect of the device 'just works' and the whole thing is pretty seamless, so very impressed with it. I've been using it over 30M to 40M of CAT6 with no issues maintaining a link. However it has now developed an odd fault - after about 30 minutes of use the body of the receiver is very hot to touch and after a further 15 minutes or so the picture starts to break up. Turning it off and letting it cool down returns operation to normal. I have confirmed the PSU isn't at fault by measuring voltages etc.
