Repurposed for bed support
I used (4 ) "Save a Step" bars that were intended for mobile tailer steps support to keep from sagging buy I repurposed them to support the middle of my bed from sagging. Each bar supports up to a 1000lbs. I was going to use car Jacks but I thought they would have been to bulky and hinder me from closing my draws. I used an 2x4x8 (cut to size) oak wood middle beam for the slacks to rest on and not sag along with (3) additional oak wood anchor slacks for the middle beam. A late addition I decided to use my scrap wood peices as extra support under the bars so the would not rest directly on floor in case they decided to rust and it also added extra width to the base support so the likelihood of it tilting over is slim to none because it's anchored with wood screws. The bed doesn't even creak or sink in anymore when I climb in. I'm so happy with the outcome I just hope it lasts.

Great poduct
This great reduced the pull of stepping into the camper. I would highly recommend buying two of these if your planning on putting it under the stairs. One will work but two allow you to step anywhere on the stairs rather then try to find the middle.

Recommend Buying Two Of These For Best Results!
After reading some of the reviews on this product (7-5/8" to 14" 43691), I was able to make an informed purchase. Many stated that you will need two of these to keep your steps stable. I can confirm this. These are small and lite when compacted for storage and are easy to use. I sprayed a little WD-40 Lithium lube on them and they adjust very quickly. You do have to adjust them so that your lower step is raised a little (especially on gravel and dirt) then once you step on them, they settle right in. I would defiantly recommend and use these again. I have used other products like this out there, and they tend to be bulkier or more difficult to adjust. The other alternative would be Moryde or Lippert steps that fold up into your doorway. Our last RV had these, and they are very stable, for sure. But you have to adjust the legs constantly on just about all surfaces, as they can be uneven most of the time (we even found that to be the case with black top spaces). We used a small piece of wood flooring as a shim, just about all of the time. And you have to sweep them off every time you fold them into your RV. You don't have that problem with fold down steps. So I believe these are the best and cheapest solution. Just do it! You won't regret it once you get used to them.

Super compact!
This item was much smaller than expected, which is a good thing! Doesn't take up much storage space. Sturdy and helps a lot! Highly recommend to have

Square plates top and bottom are not thick enough to keep them from bending.
I believe the brace is to be placed in the center of the step. That being so, this past long weekend I was able to give it a good test. Unfortunately, when I removed it to pack out, I found the top plate to be bent. I was out with my wife and two grandchildren and apparently the must have stepped to one side of the step or the other. The top and bottom plates are very thin and they twisted. I made sure the pedestal was securely in contact with the under side of the step. It was securely in contact with the level ground and the underside of the step. I have ordered another so that I can place one to either side of the step hopefully to support the step evenly. Too bad because it is a good idea.

Finally, solid steps!
I bought two of these and placed one under each side of the bottom step. There's no more rocking to the RV when someone goes in/out and my wife feels much safer going up and down the steps with her knee injury.
