It works, but pricier than most...
I've been taking collagen for years, and recommend it to anyone with joint or back pain. Over the years I've learned that: 1. Pretty much all collagen powders, regardless of the brand or source are effective at relieving pain from inflammation, whether it's chronic or injury related. 2. Collagen sourced from bovines is significantly more effective than other sources. 3. Regular collagen without Vitamin C, PLUS something specifically targeting the skin, does almost nothing for my skin. 4. 18-20g once a day is what I personally need to maintain the benefits. 5. And finally, if I don't take it everyday, my chronic back pain quickly returns. This product isn’t really ideal for the beauty benefits, but it’s not bad for reducing joint pain. It dissolves easily in my almond milk, has absolutely no smell or flavor, and doesn't change the texture of the milk. The serving size of 14g is a little small, but it’s easy to add more. I will say, though, I’ve had better results with other collagen brands that don’t cost quite as much as this one. So, yes it works, but there are better options out there.

trusted brand, added vitamin C and quercetin for increased absorption, antioxidants
I love Codeage products. I am always satisfied with their quality and effectiveness. They have a variety of collagen supplements, among a wide array of other supplements. I take their selenium, vegetable powder, fruit powder, liposomal D3, magnesium, and I buy on and off, their Codeage Collagen Peptides Powder with Vitamin C, Digestive Enzymes, Hyaluronic Acid. There is a note on the tub that says that it isnt a significant source of protein and that they can't list it as protein because it is missing one of the essential amino acids, tryptophan. Interesting that they make a note of that since no other brand ever has. It is true, no collagen powder will provide all 9 essential amino acids unless tryptohan is intentionally added as a supplement. Collagen powder in and of itself wont ever provide it. That being said, it does.. like all the others, provide protein. Collagen IS protein. Collagen and protein (when listed separately) are usually a 1:1 ratio. So if this has 14 grams of collagen, then you can assume is has 13-15 grams of protein.I have been using collagen peptide powder for over 10 years now. I started in my 30s (great lakes for many years). One of the best things I have done for myself. It was a major buy back then when hydrolyzed collagen was a rare thing. Then every brand came out with their own, keeping prices competitive. I tend to buy collagen peptide powder these days based on the overall composition, and to a lesser degree price. These days, I prefer my collagen powder to include vitamin C and hyaluronic acid. The combo of the two help increase abortion and utilization of collagen peptides. Collagen powders will typically cost more if they include extras compared to those that just have collagen peptides. Also, different sources of collagen have different price points (ie, bovine is usually cheaper than marine). This instead uses vitamin C and quercetin phytosome extracts, and uses advanced phytosome technology, a process where quercetin is combined with sunflower-sourced phospholipids to create a bioavailable phytosome complex that is more easily absorbed in the stomach.I have my preferences in brand, and Codeage is in my top 5, maybe top 4. I really rarely have a bad experience with collagen powder, so I pretty much always rate 5 stars unless something is really off. This dissolves real well in my coffee (my usual way of taking it), and imparts no flavor that I can detect. I drink my coffee black, unsweetened.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B8TN8LSP#:~:text=Vitamin%20C%20(as,Lecithin%20Containing%20Phosphatidylcholine).

Fairly expensive, but decent product
**Update: I downrated this by 1 star to 3 stars because I found it doesn’t dissolve as easily as other collagen powders I’ve used in the past. Included a pic of some clumps left in my coffee. I always pre-mix the collagen in a smaller amount of liquid to form a paste which makes it easier to try and crush clumps of powder. Even doing this as I do with all powders, I couldn’t get it all to dissolve or avoid clumps.**End UpdateThis is similar to a lot of the other Type I/III collagen power supplements that you mix into your drinks. At $1.43/serving, this is pretty pricey as far as collagen powders go, which is why I rated this as 4 stars vs 5. The value/bang-for-buck isn't really there. It does contain some extras like Vitamin C and sunflower oil/lecithin, but Vit C is really cheap to add to your diet in other ways and I tend to doubt that the sunflower products really justify the premium. So this is one of those cases where you should just shop around and figure out what your priorities are (non-GMO, grass-fed sourcing, etc) and purchase from a reputable company that hits all your prioritized checkboxes for the best value. The taste of this powder is neutral and doesn't color the taste of the coffee/latte I added it to. It dissolved fairly easily and came with a scoop for easy measuring. So all around, a fine product, just on the expensive side.

Advanced Collagen
This isn’t your normal run of the mill collagen as it is liposomal with added vitamin C to assist in bioavailability. Being that it is liposomal, the powder is a bit thicker than most powders and can be more difficult to blend when mixing. However, I find this trade-off to be worth it as my body is able to more actively absorb liposomal supplements.A serving size is 12 grams which can be a hefty amount and thus require more liquid to mix it with Sometimes I like to split a serving size in two, once in the morning when I wake up and once before I go to sleep. Not only has this collagen powder improved my skin tone and texture, it has also reduced the pain in my finger joints. I appreciate how CodeAge adds vitamin C and other ingredients that are synergistic with collagen in this supplement.Ultimately, this collagen supplement has been effective in providing me with the results desired. It has been an upgrade from the previous collagen I was taking, which was not liposomal nor did it consist of other ingredients besides collagen. I plan to make the switch and use this as my primary collagen supplement.
