Works Great and Turns Out Delicious Ice Cream
This system works great! I have long wanted an ice cream maker for my home, but have hesitated due to appliance size, and difficulty in cleaning. When I came across this ice cream maker, I was skeptical. The process seemed too easy, the pieces of the system seemed too small, and clean up seemed too simple. But, for the low price, I figured it was worth a try. I am not disappointed! I am actually quite impressed! The maker came with a clear and simple booklet of instructions with recipes for multiple flavors of ice cream. When I follow the instructions as written, I am able to turn out a delicious, creamy ice cream that is full on flavor. It is a multi-step process that requires chilling the bowls in the freezer at least a day ahead of time. When it is ice cream making time, one bowl is removed from the freezer at a time, filled with ingredients, and churned for 20-25 minutes. The ice cream is ready to eat at this time, and will be the consistency of soft serve. For a firmer ice cream (my preference), the bowl goes back into the freezer for a couple of hours. I used to cover the bowls with plastic wrap, but have since invested a few dollars into an optional accessory for this system, silicone lids that fit over the bowls. The difference in taste between this homemade ice cream and store-bought is distinct! The cream and sugar in the homemade ice cream stands out in a wonderful way. Additionally, it takes just four ingredients to make the vanilla ice cream recipe: sugar, skim milk, heavy cream, and vanilla. The included recipe book also has dairy-free and vegan recipe options.

Perfect
I love soft serve ice cream. Now I don't have to go out to get it. I can make it in 20 minutes. And it is so delicious. I make the liquid, start up the ice cream maker. Pour it in and then go eat my dinner and by the time I'm done dinner and clean up ... my soft serve ice cream is done.I don't use that much sugar because I add chocolate syrup to it and that takes care of the sugar. I am so happy I found this. And if you like soft serve ice cream Buy this little ice cream maker. But if you would rather have the hard frozen ice cream dump it out of the freezer cup and put in a container and back in freeze till it freezes to your consistency. So happy with this ice cream maker.

Noisy but works
Noisy but works. Make sure you leave the container in the freezer for at least a few days before use. Be gentle with all the parts cuz they are mostly plastic. Decent size for sharing among two. And if you want a harder consistency, stick the container back into the freezer after stirring but watch out for the time as you don't want a chunk of ice.

Easy to use
This is a great item for someone who wants some ice cream every so often. It works great, easy to use. I purchased the silicone lids as well. The ice cream is really soft, so I popped it back in the freezer for a bit. Perfect for one serving. I recommend freezing the maker over night to make sure it's good and ready.

Heck YEAH to Homade Ice Cream
I would highly recommend - with the understanding that you will only be able to make a half a pint of ice cream at most with this device. I have used it a couple of times at this point, and have enjoyed it. It does take a while to get to the point of actually making ice cream, you have to wait a minimum of 24 hours for the bowl, itself, to get to the right temperature (I would recommend going a little longer, though) but, after that, I've gotten ice cream within 15 minutes of pressing start! It is easy to use, pretty easy to clean once you figure out how to take it apart, it is a bit noisy - about the level of a blender. But, otherwise, I have so far made three different flavors of icecream successfully and am looking into more!

Highly recommend love this little maker. Trick after mixing pout in container put in freezer. Melts quick if not. DONT KEEP IN MIXING BOWL. EASY TO USE & clean no problem. Put in leave for 20 minutes then check. Not noisy got it on sale. I did 1 cup whipping cream 1 cup 2% milk I use Lactaid then 1/3 sugar tsp of real vanilla. Tend to eat less because so rich

Not an impulse snack. Requires planning ahead.
This product should come with two churners and two mugs. As is, you can only churn one mug at a time, so it takes twice as long to prepare the ice cream. You must plan ahead. This is not a snack that you just decide to do on impulse & a few minutes later you're eating ice cream. The basic vanilla recipe that comes with it requires boiling milk and adding it to a mix of sugar and eggs & then refrigerating it for two hours ahead of time. Then after you've chilled the mixture for two to four hours, you churn it for 20 minutes & then refrigerate it again for another two hours. (Keep in mind that the mugs have to be frozen for 24 hours before use and by the way, they hold only 1 cup of ice cream each.)The churner was not as loud as i was expecting. I don't think it was even as loud as a handheld mixer. The flavor of the ice cream was quite good. We froze ours for about 24 hours before we actually ate it.The texture was more firm than soft serve, but not as firm as regular frozen ice cream. We will use it again, but I'm thinking that an old fashioned style ice cream churn just makes more sense in the long run. I think it would probably make more servings in less time.None of the parts are dishwasher safe, which was disappointing.

Daughter likes...
Bought this for my Daughter and her boyfriend. They said they loved them, only complaint was it took twice as long to make the ice cream than they had anticipated (or read) even though they cooled them for proper amount of time. Overall, good product, just be sure to put top on correctly and you'll be good.
