Does a great job toasting bread,and pop tarts(haven't used it on anything else yet). The slots are wide enough for just about anything you want to toast or heat. The sides adjust to whatever you're going to toast so that both sides are toasted evenly. It has 3 buttons on the front. The top one (cancel),stops the toaster, the second one is for bagles,and the third is for warming. I haven't used the bagel, or warm button yet,but I'm sure they'll do what they're supposed to do.With Amazon Basics you know it's a quality product that will preform as advertised.

My 8 year old toaster's part that goes up and down to hold the toast broke. I didn't want to invest in one of the fancy expensive ones, so I got this. It works really well, for bagels, English muffins, and toast. You can also put in frozen items like waffles. The settings are easy to adjust.

Appears and functions more like a warming device than a real toaster. For instance turning up the settings only results in a medium brown crunchy toast. It begs the question what are the other 320 degrees af turn for when using the settings control knob. In short, for brown crunchy toast, turn the knob to maximum clockwise movement. The slot size does accommodate bagel slices, the looks are clean and there’s button settings for bagel as well as frozen and cancel. If you need a decent low cost toaster this is a good choice but the adage you get what you pay for applies here. Overall, it’s a good value for the price.

This was given as a gift. I received a rapid thank you note saying this toaster was absolutely the perfect size for a small kitchen. That the red light showing it was toasting was a good feature . The fact that the slots were wide enough for a bagel and that both sides of the toast were browned equally were a bonus.

Out of the past 20 years this is hands down the best toaster I have ever purchased. Toasts bread, English muffins, ciabatta squares, and bagels perfectly every time.The black and silver color fits perfectly into my kitchen décor and has become a cherished tool by all in our home.I highly recommend purchasing this toaster. More over - it's the least expensive with the best performance!

Love this Toaster. Very Happy with this Purchase. It is a Sleek Simple Toaster. Removable Crumb Pan. Easy to Clean. Multiple Fuctions. Toast is Perfect everytime. Including Wide Slots for Bagels. Very Well Priced For the Quality. It is Perfect for a Counter Top. As with any Toaster You have to be Careful Removing Toasted Item as the Top does get Hot. But this is the Only One I would Order Again.

When following the manufacturer's recommendations to cycle through heat levels (to eliminate odor and smoke) prior to use with food, I found the upper 1/2 of the toaster body to be quite hot. It cooled after several minutes of discontinued use. While it was not as hot as the top plate of the toaster, I would want others using the toaster to be aware.

Attached is a picture of the setting (2 out of 6) and the result to my poor bagel.If you use this Toaster, start with low settings and orbit around those for reasonable results.
