I saved $300 by returning a great Startech KVM switch (within return window) since this little unit enabled me to: Use my Windows work laptop & MacBook Pro - connected to one monitor. I will tell you my new monitor allows for quick switching using the remote it came with (Samsung OLED 34" G8). The unit also let me connect 1 keyboard and one mouse wirelessly. You can also connect a USB dongle off the single-port side to connect other devices as well (additional usb or usb-c cables, chargers, etc). Been using this item for 3 weeks not with no issues.I did not want to test the KVM and hurt my changes of a return. I do wonder if switching would be quicker or connections better with the Startech. For sure the cable management would have been cleaner, but I did a good job using a cable management kit. The KVM with also has more ports but in short, this unit, for its price, works great and is not slow at all. Zero issues...even if your monitor is not the Porsche-like Monitor I just purchased, it will toggle between 2 laptops with ease.Here is the Startech unit I returned to save $300 for comparison. Finally, yes! I'm a National Champion, as you can see in one of the screen savers showing how clean my desktop is now, which was my goal.

I work from home and have limited desk space. This little device let me have one keyboard and mouse set for both my work and personal computers. I've been using it for months now and have had no issues with it.

Works exactly as a USB hub. Only reason for four stars is that sometimes when you switch inputs, you have to wiggle the button to get it in a certain position to get the PC to recognize it is switched over (issue started after about 6 months). Other than that, no latency, works exactly as I need it to

I alternate between two laptops, one for work, and one for personal use. I connect them to a Pluggable DisplayLink device that, in turn, connects the laptop to two monitors, an ethernet network cable, a printer, a mouse and a keyboard. Until finding this device, each time I needed to switch from one laptop to the other, I needed to unplug the DisplayLink USB from one laptop, and connect it to the other. The recurring plugging and unplugging eventually degraded the USB port on one of my laptops. I installed this device, and it works flawlessly. With a push of a button, it switches all of those peripherals seamlessly from one laptop to the other. Great device!

Whelp, they show you a photo and there are reviews that say it comes with 2 cords, but NOPE, it only comes with ONE!! I cannot even test it until I get another cord to determine if it even works properly!! But I think it's really cheap to make customers think they will get TWO USB cords and it ONLY comes with one!! I am in a remote location, so I will have to wait for several days to get an additional cord! VERY DISAPPOINTING!! Buying an additional cord is not the issue, the issue is being tricked into thinking it comes with EVERYTHING necessary for this switch to be functional!! IT DOES NOT!!!

I use it to switch my headset wireless reciever from my pc to xbox. use it everyday no problems

I use this to share my mechanical USB-c keyboard between a desktop and work laptop. Works perfectly.
