Finally - Car Phone Holder that works!
Generally a good car phone holder is very difficult to find. The products that sit within the vents never stay in place and it is always a concern that the phone will fall into the footwell! Many of the dashboard products are huge, they don't stick correctly and leave a mess of residue on the dashboard when you remove them. This device is small, robust, made of good material, rotates, sticks well on the dashboard (check out an online video before purchasing). I have a mini, the dashboard isn't completely flat but I found a good spot (on the passenger side) where this device has fitted perfectly. It is easy to see from the drivers side, I can plug in the USB charger whilst travelling to keep the phone charged and the phone sits perfectly within the holding clips. I stuck the device onto the dashboard and left it (12 hours) before driving this was the recommended timeframe to ensure it has time to settle in position. The phone should only be used in the "horizontal position" to ensure it remains secure but that works fine! I recommend this product, great value for money!

Car phone holder
Phone holder for car. This works really well. My dashboard has material rather than the faux leather or plastic. It still stuck. Grips really tightly so the phone isn’t going anywhere & the front grips do not cover or hide any of the screen. Also love the little hook to hold the phone charger when it isn’t in use.Only downside is you can’t have the phone standing up.

Neat and attractive, but forces landscape mode, and the clamps rub against the phone screen and case
WHAT IS IT FOR?It's a phone mount for your car dashboard, designed to hold it securely in the optimum place for reception and visibility. It's suitable for a very wide range of phones, but only if you're happy with it in landscape mode.IN THE BOXIn a very fancy cardboard you get:* The Lisen phone mount* A spare sticky fixer for the base* A user guide booklet with a QR code for the online tutorial* An installation guide card* Wet and dry wipes to prepare the dashboard* Two daft sticky slogansINSTALLING THE MOUNTFollowing the instructions in either of the supplied guides is simple:1: Select a flat, level area on your dashboard2: Clean that area with the supplied wipes3: Peel the cardboard disk from the base to expose the sticky fixer4: Press the phone mount down onto your dashboard5: Leave it for at least 12 hours before adding your phoneI struggled to find the ideal location on my dashboard, it's rather curvy, but did so in the end.USINGTo insert your phone:1: Hold it in landscape mode with the buttons at the top2: Press it down into the mount past the spring-loaded fingers3: If you're attaching a cable, you can secure it in the little clip at the front of the mount4: You can rotate the phone horizontally in small increments (click stops)5: You can lift or drop your phone by about 10 degrees by pressing on the front of the mount, to level itI'm using a Samsung Galaxy S21 with a wraparound case.Notice that the phone must be in landscape mode, which I find quite annoying; Google Maps works much better for me in portrait mode. After all, I mainly drive forwards, not sideways, so want to see more of the route in front of me. Maybe I'll get used to it.Other than that, the phone mount works just fine. The fingers don't block the screen (much) and I can rotate the phone if I need to, easily. The phone doesn't wobble, but I miss portrait mode.To remove your phone:1: Grab your phone from the top and pull it upwards2: To reduce the strain on the sticky fixing disc, I press down on the front of the mount when I pull up3: Detach the cable if one is attachedBEST BITS+ Easy to install+ Neat and attractive+ Should suit most car dashboards+ Can rotate phone once mountedWORST BITS- Fairly expensive or very expensive, depending which colour (seller) you choose- Huge price difference between different sellers: the blue version is nearly 4 times the price of the black version!- Phone must be mounted horizontally (landscape mode)- Mount fingers are tight, inserting and removing your phone may scuff your case or screen- Mount fingers are tight, removing your phone will weaken the adhesive mounting over timeCONCLUSIONA mixed bag. The Lisen Phone Mount is neat and attractive and it works. But it's fairly (or very) expensive, forces me to use landscape mode, and those spring-loaded fingers rub against the screen and case; a clamp that opened and closed would work much better. Three stars.

Sticky situation
Overall this is a decent option. Having had unreliable magnetic holders and window mounts I wanted something more practical. There was just sufficient flat dashboard surface in my Jaguar XE to allow this flat surface sticky grip to be viableNow the tricky part. There are two very sticky pads to adhere the phone holders. The tricky part is getting the base pad tidily onto the dashboard because it was very hard to remove the protective layer. It was so sticky. When trying to use your fingers beware, you will stick to it too and it is easily crease to stick to itself unevenlyOnce you overcome this ( hopefully you didn't destroy the gel disc ) then the unit securely stays on your dash and looks pretty neat and compact which I liked.
