I purchased this to replace my 88 year old fathers laptop. His Parkinsons doesn't allow him to travel, so he doesn't need the laptop. He couldn't believe how small it was, it saved him so much space on his desk. Highly recommend.

So far, so good. I had purchased an SER-type Core i5 device from Bee-link a few years ago, and I had issues with overheating that we ultimately concluded was a dead fan in liaison with Bee-link support. Unfortunately, it never worked properly again. However, I got tired of maintaining a full-sized desktop for connecting to my Samsung smart TV, so I took the plunge again and went for the Ryzen.This is the real deal... the same Ryzen 7 5800 CPU as my primary desktop. It's quiet as a mouse and incredibly fast for such a small device. Crossing my fingers that I don't run into the same overheating issues I did on the earlier model.

Bought this to help un-clutter my desk area yet still be able to get stuff done. Since I'm not a gamer and only use it for personal and work stuff it more that fits the bill. The advertising is a bit misleading as it shows the processor with 3.4ghz max Rating. However in the system specifications area it shows only 800mhz. But as I mentioned before I'm not a gamer so for what I need it to do it performs quite adequately. It could use a few more connection options. Only has HDMI and couple USB ports. A DP port would be nice but again. Not something I needed to get my stuff done. So if you're looking for an inexpensive solution for everyday stuff, this will get the job done. If you're a gamer, not so much. :-)

Do not get this device under any circumstances. The specs on it are decent for the money, but the heatsink is incredibly undersized for the CPU and GPU. Utilizing under 10% of the CPU will cause the temperatures to rise well over 80 C, even when the fan is blowing on full power. This makes the device extremely noisy even for basic tasks. Because it uses a chipset designed for a laptop, it is nearly impossible to find an adequate heatsink and fan, even if the size of the enclosure is ignored. To get the heat management to adequate levels for even moderate use would require spending more on a custom heatsink than the device costs.

Runs programs my Intel i79000 unlocked 5.1ghz couldn’t! I considered upgrading my entire desktop computer, but decided to experiment with this mini pc before buying a ton of components. After testing the stock 1TB SSD and 32GB (2x16gb sticks) I upgraded this machine to 64gb RAM and an additional 2TB SSD Sata for Linux.
