I developed plantar fasciitis quite suddenly. (Unprofessionally diagnosed, as I had it before many years ago and I assume it's come back from walking on hard surfaces, and having tight calf muscles, just like last time.) Stretching definitely has helped, but in combination with this amazing machine, my feet have been feeling so much better! I have owned a couple of massage chairs I bought when this company was called iJoy and they have been top notch. (I still use the massage chair I bought about 10 years ago!) I would say that they are a quality and trusted brand, so when I was looking for something to help with my feet, I saw this and figured it was my best bet.When you put your feet/lower legs into this machine it gently squeezes them in what feels like an alternating figure eight pattern. It's wonderful! Depending on which auto mode you do, it will tighten around your feet and gradually bring the massage bits up and press into the bottoms of your feet. This helps me a lot. I suggest, (just as I read in another review here) that you adjust your feet forward or back depending on where you want them to hit on the bottoms of your feet.I honestly can't see anyone regretting purchasing this unit. My whole family loves it. It's a great way to start your day with a cup of coffee in the morning before heading out to work and a luxurious relaxation after a long day on your feet.

Purchased this as a gift for my Dad, he loves it.The ability to change the angle to the chair your in is very helpful.Great compression and massage.Quiet, easy to use.A little bulky but can be tucked away into a closet.

This machine arrived at my home about an hour ago and I had to get to my computer to write this review!My husband is a USPS Mechanic- he's on his feet all day, doing hard work fixing vehicles and such. His calves are overdeveloped, which cause pain in his legs. This also heavily contributes to plantar fasciitis. Having these two conditions makes sleeping difficult for him.For YEARS, he's tried various doctors, braces, and massages to loosen up the muscles in his feet and calves. Nothing relieved his discomfort. Nothing. This machine arrived at the door, my husband took it right out of the box. There's no assembly required. Simply plug it in to the outlet. I LOVED that. Within SECONDS, I swear to you, seconds, the expression on my husband's face spoke about the results. He was genuinely surprised about the targeted massage, the depth of the relief this immediately brought him. He was smiling, trying the different features, each time smiling.After a few minutes, maybe 10 or 15, he turned the machine off to feed the dogs and he got up. His expression, again, told me the genuine reaction about the results- his legs and his feet were LOOSE. He couldn't stop smiling, telling me he'd never experienced so much release from the tightness and pressure in his legs and feet. This machine is a miracle for him!He goes back to work tomorrow. That will be the real test, to see how this performs after a day of hard labor. Nonetheless, after watching him try the machine for the first time tonight, I have no doubt this is the answer we've been waiting for!

This foot massager is absolutely useless! Im a large guy, about 6 foot, with wide set shoulders and huge legs. I work a blue collar job and I am always sore and hurting after the day is done. I bought this so that I could relax, let it loosen up my muscles before a days work, I was hopping that maybe it would even help with the pain. No. Even as a large guy, this leg massager squeezes my legs with the strength of a 10 year old. I literally don't feel anything. In fact, I sometimes get so aggravated that its not helping me that I just turn it off walk away from it.For a long time I didn't make much money, and I saved for a few weeks to splurge for this leg massager. You can imagine how disappointed I am that this thing doesn't even do its job.When I originally got it, I was unimpressed but I thought that maybe I needed to let it break in, or maybe I was just doing it wrong. Fast forward several weeks later, and its still not helping. At this point, it sits in my room as a decoration piece because its unusable. If I could return it, I would. I don't get much time off work, but I felt it necessary to get on here and put my two cents in, thats how much I don't like this product. This is not worth the money!!Who knows, I may of gotten a dud, or a broken one, and if the sellers are willing to rectify this, I may change my opinion, and therefore my comment. As it stands, I am very unsatisfied.

Feels great and is of an excellent build quality.

Unfortunately, I had to drop it a star as the Human Touch Reflex5s Foot & Calf Massager only lasted 13 months. My family really enjoyed using this foot massager on a daily basis; but, it is too bad the software or something started having issues--the auto massage program would run like normal but 1/3rd of the way in, then it would freeze up and stop in the middle of that program. The controls then became unresponsive and you would need to squeeze your foot/leg out of the massager. We had high expectation of Human Touch products being "longer lasting" as we have 2 other massagers that are older and working still. Unfortunately, it has gone over the 1-year warranty, by a month...so...that's it for this foot massager.On a general foot massager note, this was a nice foot massager if you like a general massage with heat or if you are new to using a foot massager. However, if you want a stronger foot massager that really digs into the foot and vibrates, the Human Touch Reflex Swing Pro does a much better job (but I'm not sure if it is still available out there).
